What "Breaking Bad" Easter eggs are in "Better Call Saul"?

"Jimmy meets with the Kettlemans at a diner called Loyolas as a means of diverting them from discovering he operates out of a crummy office in the wash room of a nail salon. It's easy enough to forget this is the same diner where Mike and Jesse share an uncomfortably silent meal in Cornered, Season 4, Episode 6 of Breaking Bad. Further, Mike and Lydia meet there in "Madrigal" (Season 5, Episode 2), when she presents him with the infamous 11 names."

What does Chuck suffer from?

It is always hard to diagnose someone simply from behaviors but Chuck most likely suffers from a form of OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). In Chuck's case the obsession is that electromagnetic fields are making him sick and hurting him. This leads to compulsions and compulsive behavior: avoiding anything electromagnetic, asking other people to "ground themselves" before coming in, etc. He has some characteristics of agoraphobia but these are more side effects of the main compulsion. Like a more traditional "germaphobe" Chuck has some scientific theories to support his obsession and compulsion. Chuck believes he suffers from electromagnetic hypersensitivity. However, since electromagnetic hypersensitivity doesn't appear to really exist, and would probably be a life-long condition, it is unlikely that he actually has it. There are some rare individuals who have sensitive personal electromagnetic fields and can physically feel it when lightning strikes miles away from them (but close enough) or even when the sun lets off an extremely powerful solar flare. But these people are like this their entire lives and don't spontaneously develop them late in life. And while they report that it can make them feel very uncomfortable during a thunderstorm it doesn't make them sick. Spoilers below: In the later half of season 1 Chuck voluntarily begins doing what is called "exposure therapy" where a person with OCD exposes themselves to whatever it is they fear and try to get their brain used to the idea that it is harmless. Much like a person who is afraid of snakes might be able to overcome the fear by looking at pictures of them, being around them, and eventually even holding or touching one. A germaphobe might try to resist the urge to wash their hands after touching something that is scientifically clean but not "clean" in their mind. Chuck does it by going outside for longer periods of time and getting closer to strong sources of electromagnetism. And while in the hospital it is demonstrated that Chuck's fears are in his mind and that he's not actually physically harmed by electronics.

How can two 2-Hour movies (totalling 4 hours) have more information than 6 hour long episodes?

The structuring of a Television episode is different than a movie. The pacing is different as well. The only way to hold more information in 6 hour long episodes than 4 hours worth of a movie would be for every episode to end abruptly and begin right where the last one left off. Which just doesn't work well for TV. Every episode has to have an arc. A beginning, a climax and an end. While it's not uncommon to have a cliffhanger ending it is still done to a certain structure.

How does the series end?

Technically it doesn't. Season 3 ended with every intention of coming back for a fourth season. But the show was canceled suddenly, so pretty much every character's fate is left open.

Are some parts of the show improvised?

Yes, but not as often as some believe. Many scenes seem improvised mainly due to the way they were written and/or acted, but it was confirmed by Jenna Fischer on her blog that a very large portion of the show is scripted. One of the more famous improvised scenes is the Michael/Oscar kiss in the episode "Gay Witch Hunt" (which Steve Carell decided to do while cameras were rolling), and Dwight's question to Toby about the female anatomy in "Sexual Harrassment" (Rainn Wilson added a few more questions for Dwight to ask).

I heard that Clayton Bigsby was based on Dave's grandfather? Is this true?

Yes. Dave's grandfather was born blind. He was born in 1911 in a white hospital to a white woman. His birth father is unknown. According to Dave on the DVD commentary, "My grandfather looked like a white person. He probably was a white person...His dad was either black or white. Nobody knows. He could be white." He was adopted by a black family and he could not see himself so according to Dave "as far as he knows he's a black dude that grew up in the streets of D.C." On the day of the assassination of Martin Luther King, some black people started riots. According to Dave, on that day his grandfather is on a bus and hears a group of black youths threatening a white man. His grandfather thought how silly the white man was to be in a black neighborhood while blacks were rioting. He did not realize that the white man was him. As his grandfather explained to the youths that he was black, one can imagine the confused looks on their faces.

Is Dennis a sociopath?

The show has never come out and said this, but it has been a running joke and strongly implied that Dennis is in fact a sociopath and the rest of the gang simply doesn't realize it. In the episode "Mac Fights Gay Marriage", Dennis says "This is crazy, I'm having *feelings* again. Like a 14 year old kid or something. You remember feelings right?". Mac, shocked says "Are you saying you don't have feelings?!" to which Dennis replies "Well no, I'm saying I've built up a shell. A cold, calculating, heartless shell..." Dennis is also shown to be a complete narcissist with no regard for anyone else and thinks of himself as a "golden god" and he often implies that he has disturbing sexual fetishes.

Why was Maggie in the doctor's office in the final episode?

In the series finale, Maggie is in the waiting room of a physician when Ruth calls her to ask about Nate in his final moments. This has led to speculation by some that she might have been pregnant by Nate at the time, and visiting the doctor for a checkup or an abortion, but this is not the case. Remember that Maggie is a pharmaceutical representative, and her job is to go to doctor's offices and make calls. If you look at her attire, she is dressed in a business suit, and she has a large sample bag with her. When the nurse calls her back, it is not for an appointment, but rather because the doctor has made time to see Maggie in a professional capacity to discuss her products. Despite this evidence, there have still been some doubters; however, Alan Ball confirms in his commentary that Maggie was not pregnant and was only in the waiting room because she was working.

What happened to House's leg?

He had an infarction in his right thigh. Similar to a clot that causes a stroke if it is in the brain, a heart attack if it is in the heart and an embolism if it is in the lung, an infarction in his leg blocked the flow of blood. House explains this in the "Pilot." It is further explained in "Three Stories" that his condition went misdiagnosed for three days causing severe nerve damage and muscle death. They wanted to amputate his leg but he opposed it. The surgery that tried to restore blood circulation and removal of dead muscle tissue left his leg permanently impaired and in chronic pain

What is the "Black Sky" in the Stick episode?

Stick enlists Matt's help to destroy "Black Sky," a weapon that the Japanese mafia, led by Fisk's associate Nobu, are bringing into New York. Matt agrees on the condition that Stick restrain himself from killing anyone, but Stick breaks his promise when it is revealed that Black Sky is a young boy being held in a shipping container with chains around his neck and limbs. Stick fails to kill Black Sky while at the docks with Matt, but later says he killed the boy further up the road. Stick does not go into detail but says that the boy was more than "just a boy" and that Matt would have sensed this had he not been emotional at the moment. Black Sky is not a term previously found Marvel Comics so there is no clear parallel to be found there at this time. What exactly the boy named Black Sky is and how exactly he is a weapon is not revealed as of the first season of Daredevil, and any fan theories are pure speculation. In season 2; Elektra is revealed to be the Black Sky. There has still been no confirmation on who or what the Black Sky actually is
