CCW Wiring for LR63420 Model D Motor

Yes, it is possible to reverse the rotation of the LR63420 Model D motor from CW (clockwise) to CCW (counterclockwise). Here's how to do it:
  1. Turn off the power supply to the motor.
  2. Remove the motor cover to access the motor terminals.
  3. Identify the two wires connected to the start winding of the motor. These wires are usually marked with the letter "S".
  4. Swap the positions of these two wires. For example, if wire A is connected to terminal 1 and wire B is connected to terminal 2, then disconnect wire A from terminal 1 and connect it to terminal 2. Then disconnect wire B from terminal 2 and connect it to terminal 1.
  5. Reinstall the motor cover.
  6. Turn on the power supply and test the motor to see if it is now spinning in the desired CCW direction. If not, repeat steps 3-5, making sure to swap the correct wires.
Note: Reversing the rotation of a motor may affect its performance and should only be attempted if you are experienced with electrical wiring and motor repair.

I have a Milwaukee 6390 circular saw. It keeps blowing a breaker even without an extension cord?

If your Milwaukee 6390 circular saw is tripping the circuit breaker even without an extension cord, it could be due to a few reasons:
  1. Overloaded circuit: The circuit may be overloaded with too many other electrical devices or appliances. Try unplugging other devices or turning off lights on the same circuit to see if that resolves the issue.
  2. Short circuit: A short circuit can occur when the insulation on the electrical wires inside the saw becomes damaged or frayed, causing them to come into contact with each other. This can cause a sudden increase in current flow, which can trip the circuit breaker. Check the saw's power cord for any visible damage or wear, and consider having it professionally inspected if you suspect a short circuit.
  3. Faulty circuit breaker: It's possible that the circuit breaker itself is faulty or worn out. Try plugging the saw into a different circuit and see if it still trips the breaker. If it does, the issue may be with the saw itself.
  4. Motor overload: If the saw's motor is under strain or is overloaded, it can trip the circuit breaker. Check the blade for any binding or resistance, and ensure that the blade is sharp and properly aligned.
If none of these solutions resolve the issue, you may want to consider taking the saw to a professional repair shop to have it inspected and repaired.

My Elu TGS 173 only starts working when the blade has come through the slot in the table as a chop saw. it works ok in bench mode.

Strong possibility the power cord has an internal break - a good place to begin...

Lost the key to my 902 band saw

If you have lost the key to your 902 band saw, you may be able to purchase a replacement key from the manufacturer or from a local hardware store. Alternatively, you can try using a pair of pliers or a similar tool to turn the lock and open it without the key. If you are unable to open the lock or need further assistance, it may be helpful to contact the manufacturer or a professional locksmith for guidance.

Should i take apart Dewalt flexvolt battery after it was wet then in rice .

The battery is likely to be fine, but what about the electric motor in the saw, in rice as well? The only thing that tends to get damaged is electronic board components. Rice only works well if it was warmed first, silica gel packs are better. A couple of days should be good, but my advice it open it up straight away and dry with a hairdryer or heat gun.

I have a 2 month old Proxxon FET Table Saw. Trying to replace blade for the first time. I just can't loosen blade screw with the allen key. Afraid to break shaft or motor assembly. Any suggestions?

It probably has a left hand thread. The rotation of the saw tightens tightens it. Look at the rotation of the blade and imagine the allen key in the hole, would it tighten the screw or loosen it when the blade turns. For a left hand thread you would turn clockwise to undo it.

DeWalt Flexivolt Mitre Saw.

It is likely that the trigger switch on your saw is faulty and not allowing power to flow to the motor. You may need to have the switch repaired or replaced by a professional. In the meantime, you may not be able to use your saw until the issue is resolved. images-undefined-undefined-0_14.jpg

How to remove the bearing #30571 on a Craftsman Radial Arm saw model 113.29003

Removing bearing #30571 on a Craftsman Radial Arm saw model 113.29003 can be a bit challenging, but it can be done with the right tools and techniques. Here are the steps you can take to remove the bearing:
  1. Unplug the saw from the power source.
  2. Use a wrench or pliers to loosen and remove the bolt or nut that holds the bearing in place.
  3. Carefully remove the bearing from the saw. If it is difficult to remove, you may need to use a bearing puller.
  4. Clean the bearing and the area around it with a clean rag or brush.
  5. Inspect the bearing for any damage or wear. If it is damaged or worn, it will need to be replaced.
  6. Once the bearing is removed, cleaned, and inspected, install the new bearing if needed, and reattach the bolt or nut to hold it in place.
  7. Before turning the saw back on, make sure to test the saw operation before using it.
It is important to mention that this is a general guide, the exact steps and tools may vary depending on the particular model, so you may want to consult your saw's manual or the manufacturer for more specific instructions. Also, be aware that working with any power tools can be dangerous, always use the appropriate safety gear and take caution.

Brushless 18vlt paddle switch grinder will start up then cuts out then repeats when tried again but slower and no power? What would the cause be? Thanks

There could be several potential causes for the issue you're describing with your brushless 18Vlt paddle switch grinder.
  1. Overheating: If the grinder is running for an extended period of time, it can overheat and shut off as a safety measure. If this is the case, the grinder will need to cool down before it can be used again.
  2. Battery Issue: The grinder may be shutting off because the battery is not providing enough power. This can be caused by a damaged or worn out battery, or by a problem with the battery's connection to the grinder. Make sure the battery is fully charged, check and clean terminals, test battery with other tools, if there is no improvement consider getting new battery
  3. Power switch issue: The switch could have a problem and it's malfunctioning, preventing the grinder from operating properly. The switch may need to be replaced in order to fix the issue.
  4. Motor issue: A problem with the brushless motor itself, could cause it to shut off under load or malfunction. The motor may need to be inspected and repaired or replaced.
  5. Power supply: If the grinder is running off of AC power, rather than a battery, the power supply may be faulty or not providing enough power to the tool.
I suggest you to start with trying to identify the problem by eliminating each possibility one by one. If you are not comfortable troubleshooting and fixing the tool, it may be best to reach out to the manufacturer or take it to a professional repair shop.
