You have a printer fault. Make sure the printer is clear of paper. Try removing the ink roller. Turn off and on. If it doesn't run, have it checked by a dealer

Unplug the scanner, then power it on again. If it reads once and then stops, it is a configuration error such as bad cable or wrong settings in register. If it doesn't read straight after power up, try scanning the 'start' barcode in the scanner's programming manual. It should always be able to read this code. If it reads it, you have a setting fault in the scanner and you need to re-program it to read UPC and EAN codes again. If it reads none of the above codes after power up, have it checked by a dealer

If it only happens in Reg mode, it normally points to corrupted memory. Usually caused by a bad battery. The only other cause I've seen is a faulty keyboard but you would normally see feeding in all modes. I'd have a dealer check the machine

You must think out of the box. The key must simply be disabled since you only want the drawer to open, presumably with access to cash/contents, etc., when authorized to do so. Superglue the key so that it will not move/function.

Hi Becky,
The point is usually only lost when the battery goes flat or is faulty. Make sure the battery gets changed at the regular interval (usually around 3 to 5 years on most models). I haven't worked on your model but most had an internal battery that is changed by a dealer during service to preserve the memory during power outages. You may be able to reset the decimal point yourself. I have seen a manual on the net:

Hope it helps

I assume you have sorted your problem but in case you haven't, E2 is a misoperation error. You are pressing the wrong buttons, or in the wrong order. Check the sequence and try again. If you still have trouble, let me know the sequence you are entering and I'll try to help.

As long as it has a text type of printer, you almost certainly can.
