Try pulling the cover off in the back of the fridge and see if the fan is still operating when you push the light sensor switch in but hold it down for at least 10-20seconds to see if it starts.

You are right. The only way to repair this is by replacing the complete door assembly. If under a year it should be covered.

If the compressor is running and it is not cooling, that suggests to me, that it needs re gassing. Call a refridgeration engineer that has got the vacuum pump to empty and refil it with the correct amount of refridgerant.

With a high end fridge like that, it may be a variable speed fan with a speed controller circuit. Unplug the fridge from the mains, and spin the fan by hand. If it spins freely, there is likely no issues with the possible exception of the start / run capacitor.
