Telstra cordless 301 message light flashes on handset 1 which is on the base, but the 2nd handset message light does not flash
If the message light on the Telstra cordless handset 1 is flashing, indicating a new message, but the message light on handset 2 does not flash even when it's on the cradle, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
- Check message notification settings: Make sure that the message notification settings on both handsets are properly configured. Refer to the user manual or the settings menu on the handsets to adjust the message notification settings. Ensure that the notification is enabled for both handsets.
- Reset the handsets: Try resetting both handsets to their default settings. This can be done by removing the batteries from the handsets, unplugging the base station, and leaving them disconnected for a few minutes. Then, reinsert the batteries and plug in the base station. Allow the handsets to reconnect to the base and check if the message light on both handsets functions properly.
- Check the base station: Ensure that the base station is functioning correctly. Check if the base station is properly connected to the telephone line and power source. If possible, try connecting handset 2 to the base station that handset 1 is connected to and see if the message light functions on that base station. This will help determine if the issue is with the base station or the handset itself.
- Contact Telstra support: If the issue persists after trying the above steps, it may be best to contact Telstra support directly for further assistance. They will have specific knowledge of their product and can provide more detailed troubleshooting steps or advise on any potential repairs or replacements that may be necessary.
Remember to refer to the user manual for your specific Telstra cordless model for more detailed instructions on troubleshooting and operating the handset.

Norstar: Inactive Feature (981)
This generally happens from one of two things. Your voice mail system is connected to your phone system through a station port. If it loses connection it will not communicate with the phone system. Loose wire or connection can cause this. or it has just crashed and will need repair or replacement.
First thing you want to do is unplug the unit wait 15 minutes and plug it back in. wait 10 minutes Try feature 981 from a set that has voicemail. if nothing. hit feature 985 from a m7310 set or a m7324 set not a m7208. If it comes back with inactive fearture now your connection between the units is bad or the unit itself is bad. If it comes back with the voicemail intercom # and you cant get into any mailboxes it has lost all programming.Try this first.
Thank you for answering my question. Now where do I get it and how much?

Why does my Panasonic KX-TGM420 go straight to voice mail?
Voicemail is a service of your telephone company. If your calls are going to voicemail, check the settings following the directions for the service. If the answering system is getting the calls, then check if the KX-TGM420 handset(s) and base are set to a ringer volume of 0. You can change this from either the base or a handset by pressing the + button while the phone is ringing. Otherwise, when the phone system is in standby (no calls in or out), press # 1 6 0 on a handset or * # 1 6 0 on the base. Then set the ringer volume on the handset (0-6) or base (0-10). This is the equivalent of pressing menu and navigating through the menu (Menu > Settings > Ringer Adjustment > Ringer Volume (Incoming)). You can also turn off the ringer by pressing and holding 0 on the handset and Ringer Off on the base. See pages 33 and 44 of the manual, link below.
I hope this helps. The manual is available here: https://help.panasonic.ca/viewing/ALL/KX-TGM420/OI/TGM420_PNQX7794YA/TGM420_PNQX7794YA.pdf .

I have a panasonic home phone want to remove the voice mail sign and light flashing
To remove the voicemail indicator and stop the flashing light on your Panasonic home phone, you can try the following steps:
1. Access the voicemail system: Dial your home phone number from your Panasonic phone or another phone and let it ring until it goes to voicemail. Enter your voicemail password or follow the prompts to access your voicemail messages.
2. Listen to and delete all voicemail messages: Check your voicemail inbox for any new or saved messages. Listen to each message and follow the instructions to delete them. Ensure that your voicemail box is empty.
3. Exit the voicemail system: Once you have listened to and deleted all voicemail messages, exit the voicemail system by following the prompts or hanging up the call.
4. Reset the phone: Disconnect the power adapter from the back of your Panasonic phone base unit. Wait for about 30 seconds and then plug the power adapter back in. This will perform a reset on the phone and clear any residual indicators.
5. Check the voicemail indicator: After the phone has rebooted, check if the voicemail indicator is still active or if the light is still flashing. If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
6. Disable visual voicemail feature (if applicable): Some Panasonic home phones offer a visual voicemail feature that may trigger the voicemail indicator and flashing light. To disable this feature, consult the user manual for your specific model and follow the instructions to turn off the visual voicemail function.
7. Contact Panasonic support: If you have followed the above steps and are still unable to remove the voicemail indicator or stop the flashing light, it's recommended to contact Panasonic customer support for further assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on your phone model and help troubleshoot the issue.
Remember to consult the user manual for your Panasonic home phone model as the steps and features may vary slightly.

How to resolve continous tone on KX-TX880MX deskphone that locks you out of use
The recurring issue you are experiencing with the KX-TS880MX phones emitting an intrusive noise/continuous tone can be frustrating. There could be several potential causes for this problem. Here are a few suggestions to help you troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
1. Interference: Check if there are any sources of interference near the affected phones, such as other electronic devices or power sources. Move the phones away from potential sources of interference and observe if the issue persists.
2. Faulty Phone Line: Ensure that the phone line connected to the affected phones is not damaged or experiencing any issues. Try connecting the affected phones to a different phone line or port to see if the problem persists.
3. Firmware/Software Update: Check if there are any firmware or software updates available for the KX-TS880MX phones or the TDA600 Panasonic system. Updating the firmware or software can often resolve compatibility issues and fix known bugs.
4. Reset and Reconfiguration: Perform a factory reset on the affected phones and reconfigure them on the TDA600 Panasonic system. This can help eliminate any software glitches or misconfigurations that may be causing the problem.
5. Contact Panasonic Support: Reach out to Panasonic's customer support or the dealer from whom you purchased the phones. Describe the issue in detail and inquire if they have encountered similar problems with this particular model. They may be able to provide specific troubleshooting steps or offer a solution.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, and the problem persists only with the KX-TS880MX model phones, it's possible that there may be a defect with those units. In such cases, replacement or repair may be necessary.
Panasonic KX-DT333: The switchboard/directory isn't showing 'busy' lines lit up red after recently re-programming phones.
If the busy lines on your Panasonic KX-DT333 switchboard/directory are not lighting up in red after re-programming the phones, it's possible that the programming settings related to the busy line indication were inadvertently modified. Here are a few steps you can try to bring back the feature:
- Verify quick dial settings: Double-check the quick dial settings on the phones that are not displaying the busy lines. Make sure that the busy line appearance is correctly assigned to the corresponding quick dial buttons. You can refer to the phone's user manual or programming guide for instructions on how to assign busy line appearances.
- Check programming options: Access the programming mode of your Panasonic KX-DT333 system. Look for settings related to busy line indication or busy lamp fields (BLF). Ensure that the appropriate options are enabled or configured to display the busy lines as red.
- Restart or reset the system: Try restarting the switchboard or resetting it to its factory default settings. This can help restore any configuration settings that might have been changed during the re-programming process. Be aware that resetting the system will erase all previous programming, so it's crucial to have a backup of your settings if necessary.
- Consult the user manual or contact support: If you're still experiencing difficulties, refer to the user manual or programming guide for your Panasonic KX-DT333 system. These resources should provide detailed instructions on how to configure the busy line indication feature. If needed, you can also reach out to Panasonic customer support for further assistance.
Remember to exercise caution when accessing the programming mode or making changes to your system's settings. If you're unsure about any steps or if you're uncomfortable with the process, it's advisable to consult a professional technician or contact Panasonic support for guidance.

Nokia 2760 - how do I edit speed dial no 1?
Number one is normally permanently locked to your answer machine. Most phone manufacturers use this as a standard layout so you will not be able to reprogram it to a different number.
