Australian car model????? which one, EA to EL?
to get help first post model, then engine displacement
the EFI type. (MPI SPI CFI, etc) each work totally different)
on most EFI cars there is no adjustment.
In fact , idle speed controls are top EFI feature) it will work hard
to hold hot idle at about 800rpm on most cars (IAC electric)
(some have factory adj. but do not mess with that)
you could read the FSM ,it covers this.
most cars this
long in tooth the IAC is toast, so the owners
hack in idle fixes. are you a fixer or hacker.?
a fixer is one who finds a good part and actually fixes car or cleans it.
why not post a symptom. ???
got high idle hot.?
got too low.?
name RPM count,, 1000? 1500, 800 is correct hot.
EFI systems, idle controls work last. all else must work right first.
IAC controls fail when other things are grossly bad. we fix those first.
what engines? got MPI, multipoint? got CFI?
comprised three straight-six engines: the short-lived,
CFI 3.2-litre, a 3.9-litre, as well as a 3.9-litre
multi-point.
The 4.0-litre inline six-cylinder (EL?)
great post, never seen a falcon since, 1960, (those sucked)
