After setting the correct hour, press the 'Set' or 'Settings' button again to move to the minutes setting.
Use the 'Up' or '+' and 'Down' or '-' buttons to adjust the minutes accordingly.
Confirm the Time:
Once you have set the correct time, press the 'Set' or 'Settings' button again to confirm and exit the time setting mode.

Of course not! You will burn out all the electronic components. You can't just double the voltage. Conversely you can't put a 1.5 volt battery in place of a 3 volt one. Get the proper battery.

My National Geographic Weather Station is the opposite. The outside sensor only indicates the temperature, but the single CR2023 battery lasts a year. The inside unit on my desk lasts around 5 - 6 months and lets me know if needs a battery by showing the outside temperature as ' -- '
Although the manual says 'rechargeable batteries are not recommended', I would try 4 Sanyo Eneloop batteries. Or you could contact Acurite Support and ask them if your battery use is excessive?
