Take the burner off and boil it in a pan of boiling water and soap. Leave to cool, rinse and dry. That should fix it. grease is insulating the grounding for the spark. I have come across it many times. Having said that, how new? Still under warranty? Call them out!

Turn off the gas,unplug the power.
Take the cooktop out of the cutout and support it on the countertop.
Remove all grates and valve knobs.
Remove all screws from the valves and the burners.
Remove the burner base plates.
You may have screw on the side holding the top to the base,if so,remove these too.
The top will separate from the bottom exposing your parts.

Look on the panel for a key that says lock or has a key on it and hold it for10 seconds to see if that clears our

The burners may have shorted. A "reset" isn't going to fix it.

E5 or E0 means that the stove is getting overheated. You have to reduce the temperature for it to stop. It goes on with few beeps and then stops.

The flashing pilot light probably means the element has failed and it is in need of a repair.

It depends on several factors. First, I'll assume when you "reset" the range, you are resetting the circuit breaker (cb) in the cb panel. If this is the case then there are two possible causes. 1. The cb is old and worn out. So replace it. 2. There is an occasional overload of the circuit. This causes the cb to trip. For that you will need a qualified electrician to determine what is causing the overload. WARNING!!! Ranges are typically 220 Volts which can kill a person. So leave this up to the pros. Do Not attempt to do this work yourself.

Cause:

• Universal OFF key failure

Troubleshooting:

1. If the controls are wet or water made contact with them, dry off the controls.
2. Turn off then back on to reset.
3. If the error persists, reset the unit at the circuit breaker.
4. Turn the unit back on to see if the error code cleared.
