Why does my humidifier make the floor all wet
You may be over filling the unit. Take the refillable water tank out and with the power removed try to remove all the extra water where the tank goes. check for anything that looks cracked inside the unit the best you can. If the tank is seating properly it should not leak. If it is filled properly it should not leak.

Wait5000 humidifier problem
How it is wired makes a difference and we dont know if it has its own transformer or it's taking power from the air handler or the furnace transformer / control board.

The Hygrometer on my Air-O-Swiss U7142 reads 25%
I have got the same problem with my u7142 unit. This most probably means that the hygrostat inside is either broken or it has been heavily covered with the "white dust" in case the demineralization cartridge has not been changed for a long while. To resolve it you have two options: either clean the humidity sensor or replace it. The sensor is at the bottom of the front panel, so you need to disassemble the front panel only, no need to open the whole unit (note that there are 2 screws at the bottom holding the front panel also). You need to get the sensor out from the printed circuit to open the cover and clean the surface of the sensor with something (blowing air does not help; you need physically touch the surface with something). If it does not help then you can go for the second option to replace the sensor, the type used in the unit is SYH-1. It is not a pricy element so you may go straight to the replacement if you find a shop nearby to buy it. I have simply replaced the sensor and now the unit is showing the proper humidity value and adjusting the steam automatically again.
Humidifier stopped working after cleaning.
It started working again on its own. Not much of a solution!
I think some water must have got into the electronics and then once it dried, the humidifier started to work again.

Loud "Glonk" when humidifier turns off
Try turning the water valve going to the soleniod down. There may be too much pressure. You may have to replace solenoid one more time after making the adjustment.
Why does my homedics humidifier shut off after 5 min?
Mine would stop because the float that shuts it off when the water is too low did not float high enough. There is a little cap that pulls off, then a white ring that has a small magnet in it. Take that off and put a nylon washer on the stem first, then the magnet ring, then replace the cap. Nylon floats and helps the magnet stay high enough to keep it running.

Why is it "spitting" water instead of steam ?
I had this same problem! It's not because the tank is too full. I never overfilled mine, but I had the same spitting problem. I realized it was because I had added too much salt. I tried it once with no salt, but it never did anything. Literally was plugged in for 12 hours, and nothing happened. So I added just a PINCH of salt, and it works perfectly now. It's also not because you haven't cleaned it.....Literally just too much salt.

You can also pickup some cheap humidity gauges at a hardware store to check the settings on your unit verses the actual humidity in the house.
