How much can my lever ratchet hoist lift?
Common ratchet lever hoists have the capasity to lift up to 5 tons, but some can only lift 1/2 ton its important to consult your user manual for exact numbers before use.

What are the weight limitations on buck hoists?
Depending on the hoist that you are renting the capacity ranges from 4000 lbs. to 8000 lbs. Before you start loading up your hoist make sure to check the capacity of the one you're renting.

Do I need a permit to rent or put up a buck hoist?
Needing a permit to build a buck hoist depends on where you are building it. Only a few states in the US require you to get a permit and the elevator to be inspected. Indiana, Michigan, Arkansas, Washington, Nevada, North Carolina, California all require you to get a permit.
