On/off digram

Is this more complicated than two wires? If not then: If the switch has three terminals connect one wire to the center and one to one of the other terminals.

How do you take it

Yes, there is an adjustable spanner wrench with a metal *** on each leg. That will spin off counter-clockwise. I have also seen people use a punch to rotate it off, but I would personally use the wrench. If you can provide a model number, I can pull the breakdown or you can go to makita's website, type in your model, and they will have a viewable exploded diagram of your exact tool, making it much easier to plan the disassembly. Let me know how it goes, and don't hesitate to post any questions you might have along the way!

I had a concrete deck poured around my inground

Call the contractor back and ask him what you just asked me. I would demand some response too.BE careful how you approach them. Be very polite and professional, but direct and unwavering. You want some answers and deserve them. Your cement should not be cracking like that, it has a bad base, not level, and is not supported correctly. Wheel keeps slowing down

Typically this occurs from a lack of air pressure. So check the psi from your supply. If its below 90 psi you can expect a lack of power and the wheel to slow. Another thought is their could be build up inside the grinder. Recomended Preventitive Maintiance suggest a few drops of oil before use.

Have lost the tools needed to replace the grinding

Well I researched a couple different sites I frequent for replacement parts and I have some bad news. Apparently this part has been discontinued. However you can always contact the company and get a price quote from them. they usually always have a few stored for cases like this. their contact information is, 1-877-SKIL-999. If theirs anything more I can do just let me know. -Derek

Anyone know how I change the cutting disc please?

here is a generic image of common die grinders. I imagine your's is the same. Now you need to "Jam the shank with the tool numbered37 above. Its the slotted wrench. Once its properly secured you should be able to use a flat head screwdriver to loosen the retaining screw.

What size thread on a hbg10 arbor

If you can't measure it directly, take the nut with you to a hardware store and find a bolt that fits it. But you can easily measure the pitch with a decent ruler. Just count the number of threads in one inch. Count the threads from one peak to the next, So if the first peak lines up with zero on your ruler and the thirteenth peak is at one inch, this would be a 12 tpi (threads per inch) pitch. If you can measure the diameter of the threaded shaft, you will find that the actual diameter of the threaded part is just a little smaller than the nominal size. For instance, a 5/8 diameter thread might measure about 0.610 inches.Good luck!

I changed grinder stone wheels and replaced with buffing wheel... now the grinder will stall when i try to buff things... what went wrong or what did i do and how can i fix it?

Buffing takes a lot of power, maybe a lot more than you expected. Bench grinders come in lots of sizes and power levels. If you have a small, or inexpensive, or fractional hp grinder, it simply isn't up to the task. By the way, rpm is also a big factor. A grinder, especially a smaller one, turns at a pretty high rpm. A given hp rating at a high rpm gives less torque than the same hp rating on a different grinder with a lower rpm. On your grinder you might get away with smaller diameter and/or narrower buffing wheels that you use very lightly. Otherwise, your grinder just isn't going to cut it.
