Yamaha g14 gas golf cart. Why does gas blow out carburetor?
It isn't unusual for a fuel haze to hover outside the carb of a high performance engine but a golf cart engine is definitely not that.
A more detailed description would have been helpful.
On the face of things, it suggests the piston is rising on the compression stroke while the intake valve is still open but slipped timing is very unlikely.
The only other time when fuel is commonly blown from a carb is when the engine kicks back during starting and will spin backwards a revolution or two. Over-advanced ignition timing or a lean air/fuel mixture can cause this.
If it was ok before the new carb it would be a good idea to revisit that fitment, comparing the settings with the original...
