what do you mean by this question?
a fish is an animal that lives in water but I imagine that you know that
enlarge on the question and post it again as posts are not linked
Generally speaking, goldfish can survive in a fish bowl orsmall tank without a filter. However, ifyou have multiple goldfish in one tank, they would probably live longer andhealthier lives with a filter. Filtersare beneficial because they clean the water and keep it balanced. The fresher the water is, the healthier yourfish.b>
on this tank the lights are built into the filter pump housing , if they go bad it might be possible to retrofit a new sealed light bar into the same space , but you will need to have previous knowledge of electronics and specify L.E.D. lights as they don't work like regular light bulbs but require a special kind of power or will be damaged if hooked to wrong type of power I suppose its possible to use batterys but id have no idea how long that would work
this is a very common thing to happen with fluorescent aquarium lights , moisture causes corrosion of contact points , corrosion causes loss of voltage in tube contacts , light does not receive the power it needs so doesn't light correctly , id retrofit a L.E.D light bar assembly right inside of your old hood held in place with some food safe silicone there avail off amazon for not a lot of money and some even give u the choice of colors as well
if its only the top black plastic piece sure you can , id use superglue and let dry (hours not minutes) and wash it several times with water to clean residue off , (NO fish in tank or water ) if crack is to the top of actual tank < its possible with aquarium silicone but I wouldn't chance it id replace it
did it "conk" out or is the pump impeller stopped by a buildup of material ?? the reason I say this its very unusual for a aquarium pump to go completely out (ive had one running 24/7 for ten years) but in that ten years ive replaced two impellors and cleaned it out over one hundred times , and yes three months is the perfect time period for a cleaning needed !!!
1st priory is to save the fish !! move them to a new container consisting of half old water and half new water (declorinated) along with a small air bubbler !! this should help your fish to recover (don't use soap to clean out container it is toxic to fish) moist table salt is best to use for a cleaning agent and rinse well b4 putting fish inside
then ck to see if your aquarium is pumping water thru the filter and falling back into tank ( replace all the water in the tank 1st with two rinses ) make needed repairs to pump and or filter assembly (New filter cartridge) new pump impellers and cartridges are available for purchase for your aquarium from vendors that sell aquariums and allways ck the outlet the pump is plugging in b4 blaming a pump fail with a known good table light set to "On" they do go off once and an a while
verify that water chemistry is ok b4 retuning fish to tank and observe fish for strange behavior for next several hours ( upside down swimming, laying sideways )
: You could but a few shrimps is all you could keep in there and it would be a very small marine tank .An experienced fish keeper could mange that but i always advice 30 gallons minimum for starting a marine tank .
This question has nothing to do with "Aquariums & Aquarium Stands" but the only reason to build an anachronistic and inflexible form of public transportation such as cable (street) cars is to promote tourism in a given area. The "Atlanta Street Car Project" is a prime example of how inefficient and wasteful such a project can be. This particular project is almost 2 years late and several million dollars over budget. The subject area was already amply served by the existing MARTA bus and subway routes. This vanity project by the mayor has been a huge disruption for traffic and local businesses, many of which have closed as a result. Details in the link. Enjoy.
The Atlanta Streetcar Project
this device is a siphon overflow , care will need to be given in keeping it clean and sealed well or siphon will be lost and yes tank can overflow ive been told a small bubbler in middle section as a tickler will keep siphon going better , im not a great fan of siphon type over flows , but if you have the means a hole type overflow is far superior to this ,way less probelms
multiply the length (100 ft) by the depth (1.5 ft) by the width 2 ft and that results in a cubic ft measurement
divide that by 9 ( 9 cubic ft = 1 cubic yard ) and you have your answer
I am not going to work it out for you as it is grade 3 maths
if your heart is set on the original one you can get a replacement from aqueon , it will need to be sent from oversea's so time will take a bit , ME id just wire in a lamp cord switch to the original power cord , they only cost about five dollars and most evey hardware store's got them
you have to be really careful about adding herbs to fish food as some of them can be dangerous. However Rosemary has become an accepted herb that acts as a natural preservative in fish food.
