Black and Decker 18 V 18 V battery charger light stays on red doesn't Flash just stays red and the battery doesn't charge Why is that and how can I Fix it

There could be several reasons why the Black and Decker 18V battery charger's light stays red and the battery doesn't charge. Some possible causes include:
  1. The battery is not properly seated in the charger. Make sure the battery is securely inserted into the charger's battery compartment.
  2. The battery is damaged and cannot be charged. Try using a different battery to see if it charges properly.
  3. The charger is not functioning properly. Try using a different charger to see if it charges the battery.
  4. The outlet or power source you are using is not providing enough power. Try plugging the charger into a different outlet or using a power strip with surge protection.
  5. The charger's fuse is blown or the charging contacts are corroded or dirty. Clean the contacts and check for a blown fuse.
If none of these solutions work, it may be best to contact Black and Decker's customer service for further assistance or to get a replacement.

I have an Ozito drill and it will not hold the bit very well, is this fixable, seems like the jaws have rounded. Cheers Carol

It's possible that the jaws of your drill's chuck have worn down and become rounded, which is causing the bit to not be held securely. One solution to this problem would be to replace the chuck with a new one. However, before you do so, you may want to try tightening the chuck as much as possible to see if that helps. If it still won't hold the bit properly, then it's likely that the chuck needs to be replaced.

I am trying to locate a replacement battery for a Mansfield dual drill: item# mt01103. 18v. We have had the drill for over ten years and had good service. Alas, the battery has expired.

Honestly, Get rid of that "as seen on TV" legacy item and purchase a modern cordless drill similar to this: Makita 18 Volt LXT Lithium Ion Cordless 1 2 in XPT Drill Driver Kit with 2... You'll be much happier and will have a serviceable item that will last much longer. helpful-hhkqfx2w2zkuwwpsab3b1hzw-3-0_29.png

Drill master bad batteries or bad charger?

This could possibly be faulty batteries. Where are these batteries stored? If they are kept in a really cold place the batteries can 'cut out' and not charge until they have warmed up to room temperature. How old are these batterie and do they get used a lot? Batteries do get old and wear out. When both LED lights are on it is usually an issue with a shorted battery, (both lights on and NOT blinking), or a bad connection between the battery and the charger, (both lights on and blinking). First unplug the charger and remove the battery. Take a close look at the connector pins on both to make sure there isn't dirt or something blocking the electrical contacts. Sometime the fix is that easy. Next replace the charger. this is often your cheapest first step. That way you have a spare if the charger isn't the problem. If the new charger doesn't work it's the batteries that are faulty and they'll need replacing.

How do I take out the spindle on a 1675-1 Milwaukee hole hawk drill

To remove the spindle on a Milwaukee Hole Hawg 1675-1 drill, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Disconnect the drill from the power source and remove the chuck key.
  2. Turn the drill over so that the chuck is facing upwards.
  3. Locate the spindle lock button on the side of the chuck.
  4. Press the spindle lock button and hold it down while rotating the chuck counterclockwise to loosen it.
  5. Once the chuck is loosened, you can remove it from the spindle by pulling it off.
  6. To remove the spindle from the drill, you will need to loosen and remove the retaining bolt that holds it in place. The retaining bolt is typically located on the bottom of the drill, near the front of the spindle.
  7. Once the retaining bolt is removed, you should be able to lift the spindle out of the drill.
It is important to follow these steps carefully to avoid damaging the spindle or the drill. If you are having difficulty removing the spindle, you may need to consult the owner's manual or a certified mechanic for assistance. They will have the necessary tools and expertise to help you remove the spindle safely.

What tension do i need on the belts of my ptbm500c3 pillar drill

In general, belt tension can be adjusted by turning the adjusting bolts located on the motor pulley or the driven pulley. These bolts can be tightened or loosened to increase or decrease the tension on the belts. It is important to set the belt tension to the correct specification to ensure proper performance and to prevent damage to the belts or other components.

  3. Check the switch or trigger for any debris or foreign objects that may be preventing it from functioning properly.
  4. Check the battery for any visible damage or corrosion. If the battery is damaged or no longer holds a charge, it may need to be replaced.

My Metabo charger ICS 10 turns off when I put battery for charging?

Hi, Please check that your battery is oriented properly and that it's not past it's expiration date (usually found written on the battery). Also, the temperature of the room where the charging takes place should be within the range advised by the manufacturer. If the location is too hot or cold, then charging might not take place. If all of these things are taken care of, but the problem persists, then you can setup a repair/replacement with Metabo by calling them at (610) 436-5900. Thank you.

My dc18ra makita battery charger flashes red and green lights no matter how many bateries i try

The pcb inside the battery has a microcontroller that monitor the charges and charge cycle. When the cell falls below a certain voltage, it will instruct the charger not to charge and will show with a red-green flashing light. If the battery has been tried 3 times in succession then the pcb will brick itself from the makita charger. So first replace the bad cells. There are 2 solutions at this moment: charge with a 3rd party lithium charger like the imax b6 or replace the pcb with a working one. check out my blog on http://mkbl1830.blogspot.com/

Need the charging diagram for the Craftsman C3 Lithium Ion battery want to charge it with a regular 12 volt charger.

No way! Lithium Ion batteries require special chargers to prevent fire. They are very unstable and if they break down internally, they self combust. You can't even use a Nickel Metal Hydride battery charger with them. And it is a 19.2 volt battery, which won't charge with a 12 volt charger. Use the Craftsman charger specially made for those batteries. https://www.walmart.com/c/kp/craftsman-volt-battery-charger ..
