The orange full light is
This problem is usually caused by an improperly installed water collection bucket or the float valve inside the top of the bucket is broken or stuck in the DOWN position.
To troubleshoot this, turn the unit OFF & unplug it. Remove he bucket, check the float valve's position. If it stuck in the UP position, jiggle the handle to make it return to the DOWN position. This will also allow you to determine if the float is broken. If all this checks out, reinstall the bucket "squarely" from top to bottom into the bucket holder. It must make contact with the bucket safety removal switch on the back wall of the holder. When installed properly, the bottom of the bucket will not tilt down at all. Plug the unit in and turn it ON. If everything was done correctly, the unit should start within a few seconds.
Hope this helps you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Thnanks for choosing FixYa.

Meaning of "F1" in a Frigidaire Dehumidifier model FFAD5033R1?
For the slightly larger model, FFAD7033R1, F1 turned out to be the humidity sensor. This can be accessed by removing just the back panel.If you have a soldering iron for less than a nickel you can just replace the NTC Thermistor (small orange resistor 10k) on the small PCB. See attached image below.In the image below just to the right of the white sensor you can see I removed the bad thermistor..
Dehumidifier reads 30% no matter
Hello there,
Your guess is right as to what the cause of the problem is. The relative humidity (RH) sensor is faulty and need to be replaced. That is why it is stuck on 30%. When the RH is faulty, the compressor will not run. And the dehumidifier will not do anything.
Hope the moisture collected in the bucket is removed, becuse that also could be a cause of the problem. If the bucket that collects moisture is full, the sensor will send a message to the compressor and have it shut down automatically till the bucket is empty.
Once it is confirmed that the moisture collecting bucket is empty and it is still not reading anything other than 30%, then that confirms the problem to be from the RH sensor.
Hope this helped.
All the best.

P1 and P2 error codes
Danby's Consumer Help Line (1-800-263-2629) is always busy. So, I called their General number: 419-425-8627. The receptionist transferred my call to their Service dept. My call was answered in 2 minutes.
The Service Rep. described the following code for my dehumidifier model (DDR657EE):
P1 = Defrosting: the unit will go into Defrost mode periodically to ensure that the parts are working at the right operating temperature. It should be in Defrost (P1) mode for only a brief period of time. If the unit is in Defrost (P1) mode continuously for a couple of hours (or more), then you should call Danby Service for further assistance.
He had no documentation of a P2 code for my model.
He also described other General Codes (applicable to most Dehumidifier/Humidifier models):
E1 = Not enough water
E2 = Not draining
E3 = Water temperature too cool
E4 = Overflow Switch activated
E6 / E7 = Problem with Temperature Sensor
I hope that helps.
