How can you keep bird food from coming out of the cage
Hello, Brenda -
There are products named "seed catchers" and "seed guards" which one can purchase or mak. oneself
Just use your favorite search engine (Bing, Google, Yahoo Search, etc.) and enter these search phrases (separately), using quotation marks as shown:
"seed catcher"
"seed guard"
They do not keep seeds from coming out of a bird cage. Instead, they are designed to catch much of the debris from a bird cage. making clean up less messy.
Best wishes.

Whats a good name for a pet bird
Depending upon the breed, Peep for a small bird that peeps a lot or Squawk for a large, noisy bird. But any name will do as long as it recognizes it as their name and respond to it.

Can you use powder sugar when you are out of gran. sugar.
Not really... Powder sugar has added cornstarch that is normally used as a thickener and will thicken if heated. It is an okay substitute for dusting cookies, donuts and things like that, but other than that *I* don't recommend using it as a substitute.

When it comes to bird cages, why is size so important?
Cage
size is a very crucial element in regards to proper bird care. The tail of your bird should never touch the
back or bottom of the cage when sitting on their perch. A very general rule to follow is that the
width of the cage should be at least 1-1/2 times as wide as your bird's
wingspan. Keep in mind that it is not
just your bird(s) inhabiting the cage but you will need a perch and most likely
some toys. My personal recommendation is
to buy the largest cage you can afford.
