It is ok to put your leg guards in the washing machine but only with cold water and on the gently cycle. Otherwise, they could warp and lose their shape. Do not put them in the dryer because this will definitely cause them to become malformed.
I suggest spraying watered down Windex on it and then rubbing it off with a coarse rag.

It's not a good idea to use a new, quality baseball bat at a batting cage because the balls that come out of the machine are much denser than regular baseballs. This could end up doing irreversible damage to your baseball bat.
