How do I know if my starter is bad on my workhorse W22 2004 chassis
check this before you check starter! clean battery cables and battery post first . auto parts stores sell wire brushes for cleaning battery post. are you sure battery is good? auto parts stores will check your battery for free if you take it to them. first they will charge battery so they will know it is charged . most auto parts stores will check your starter for free if you take it to them =(load test battery) if you take starter off clean the wires to starter with sand paper = preventive maintance.
NOTE if your auto would start , the auto parts stores could check your starter and battery on your auto. for FREE. if they find bad parts , you will probely buy the new parts from them? the ground wire to the frame could be cleaned also. good luck!
1995 q45 security light flashing and injector not firing
If you have a 1995 Q45 with a flashing security light and issues with injector not firing, it's possible that you're experiencing a security system-related problem. The security light flashing typically indicates that the vehicle's immobilizer system is active or detecting a potential security threat. The injector not firing could be a result of this security system issue.
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
- Check the Key: Make sure you are using the correct key for your vehicle. Sometimes, using the wrong key or a damaged key can trigger the security system.
- Battery Voltage: Check the battery voltage. Low battery voltage can sometimes cause electrical glitches that affect the vehicle's systems. Make sure the battery terminals are clean and securely connected.
- Spare Key: If you have a spare key, try using it to see if the issue persists. If the spare key works fine, the problem could be with the original key.
- Security System Reset: Some vehicles have a procedure to reset the security system. This might involve locking and unlocking the doors with the key, or using a specific sequence of actions. Consult your vehicle's manual for instructions on how to perform a security system reset.
- Anti-Theft System: If the vehicle has an aftermarket anti-theft system installed, it could be causing the issue. You might need to refer to the manual for that system or contact the manufacturer for assistance.
- Ignition Switch: A faulty ignition switch could prevent power from reaching the injectors. Check if other electrical components are working as they should when the key is turned to the ON position.
- Fuse and Relay Inspection: Check the fuses and relays related to the fuel injectors and security system. A blown fuse or a faulty relay could be causing the issue.
- Diagnostic Scan: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's advisable to perform a diagnostic scan using an OBD-II scanner. This could help identify any specific error codes related to the security system or fuel injector circuit.
- Professional Help: If you're unable to diagnose or fix the issue on your own, it's recommended to seek help from a professional mechanic or an auto dealership. They have the necessary tools and expertise to accurately diagnose and repair complex issues.
Remember that working with vehicle electrical systems can be complex, and if you're not comfortable with these troubleshooting steps, it's best to involve a professional to avoid causing further damage to the vehicle.
Calibrate a mega weigh mgp-1014 digital pocket scale
Calibrating a digital pocket scale like the Mega Weigh MGP-1014 ensures that it provides accurate measurements. Here are the general steps for calibrating such a scale:
Note: It's important to refer to your scale's user manual for specific instructions, as calibration methods can vary between different models.
What You'll Need:
- Calibration weights (these are weights with known, precise values)
- The Mega Weigh MGP-1014 scale
- A clean, stable surface for calibration
Steps:
- Read the Manual: Familiarize yourself with the user manual that came with the scale. It should provide specific instructions on how to calibrate the scale.
- Clean the Scale: Ensure that the scale's weighing platform is clean and free from any debris. This helps to prevent interference with the calibration process.
- Power On: Turn on the scale and wait for it to stabilize, displaying "0.0" or the default reading.
- Tare (Optional): If your scale has a tare function, you can use it to zero out the weight of any container you plan to use to hold the calibration weights. Place the empty container on the scale and press the tare button.
- Select Calibration Mode: Many scales have a calibration mode that you need to access. Refer to your user manual to determine how to enter the calibration mode on the Mega Weigh MGP-1014.
- Add Calibration Weight: Place a calibration weight of a known value onto the scale's platform. The weight should match the unit of measurement you plan to use (grams, ounces, etc.).
- Calibration Procedure: Follow the specific instructions provided in the user manual to initiate the calibration procedure. This usually involves pressing buttons or following on-screen prompts. The scale will often ask you to confirm the weight value of the calibration weight you added.
- Confirm or Adjust: The scale should display the weight you added as the calibration weight. Confirm that the displayed weight matches the known value of the calibration weight. If there's a discrepancy, follow the manual's instructions to adjust the calibration setting accordingly.
- Repeat if Necessary: Some scales require calibration with multiple weights to ensure accuracy across the scale's entire range. If this is the case, follow the manual's instructions for using additional calibration weights.
- Exit Calibration Mode: Once you've completed the calibration procedure, exit the calibration mode according to the instructions provided in the user manual.
- Test with Known Items: After calibration, test the scale's accuracy by weighing objects of known weight to ensure that it's providing accurate readings.
Remember that the exact calibration process can vary depending on the scale model, so always refer to the user manual for the most accurate instructions. If you're unsure about any step, it's recommended to contact the manufacturer's customer support for assistance.
Suyama mj7cna monitor no display after power cut
If your Suyama MJ7CNA monitor is showing a green light but no display after a power failure, there could be several potential causes for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:
- Check Connections: Make sure that all cables connecting the monitor to the computer are properly connected. Sometimes, cables can become loose during power fluctuations or movement.
- Power Cycle: Turn off the monitor and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a minute or two, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can help reset any internal components that may have become stuck.
- Check Other Devices: Connect the monitor to a different computer or device to see if it displays properly. This will help determine whether the issue is with the monitor itself or the computer it was previously connected to.
- Try a Different Cable: If you have a spare cable, try using it to connect the monitor to the computer. Sometimes, a faulty cable can cause display issues.
- Check for Display Source: Most monitors have multiple input sources (e.g., HDMI, VGA, DisplayPort). Make sure the monitor is set to the correct input source that matches the cable you're using.
- Check Computer Settings: If the monitor is working with another device, the problem might be with the computer's settings. Try connecting the computer to a different display to see if the issue persists.
- Perform a Factory Reset: Some monitors have a factory reset option in their settings. Check the monitor's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset, as this can sometimes resolve issues caused by settings conflicts.
- Inspect for Physical Damage: Check the monitor for any visible signs of physical damage, such as cracks or bent connectors. If you find any, the monitor may need professional repair.
- Update Graphics Drivers: If the monitor is connected to a computer, ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause display problems.
- Test in Safe Mode: Boot the computer into Safe Mode and see if the monitor displays anything. This can help determine if a third-party software or driver is causing the issue.
- Contact Support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it might be time to contact Suyama's customer support or seek assistance from a professional technician. They can provide specific guidance based on your monitor model and situation.
Remember to exercise caution when working with electronic devices, and if you're unsure about any steps, it's best to consult a professional technician.
I have a viper 5706v installed it keep on showing error messages when i try to start it
If your Viper 5706V car alarm and remote start system is displaying error messages and not functioning properly, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
- Check the Display: Look closely at the error messages displayed on the remote control or alarm system. These messages can provide valuable information about what might be causing the problem.
- Check the Wiring: Make sure all the wiring connections are secure and properly connected. Loose or damaged wires can cause communication errors and prevent the system from functioning correctly.

Service info.Scania R420 retarder
Sure, it sounds like you're asking about the procedure for changing the oil and filter, as well as checking the oil level, for a Scania R420 with a retarder. Here's a general outline of the process:
- Gather Materials and Tools:
- New oil filter
- Engine oil (recommended grade)
- Drain pan
- Socket wrench set
- Funnel
- Rag or paper towels
- Preparation:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
- Let the engine cool down if it has been running recently.
- Draining the Oil:
- Locate the oil drain plug at the bottom of the engine oil pan.
- Place the drain pan underneath the drain plug.
- Using the appropriate socket wrench, carefully loosen and remove the drain plug, allowing the old oil to drain completely into the pan.
- Let the oil drain for several minutes to ensure most of it is out.
- Changing the Oil Filter:
- Locate the oil filter, which is usually a cylindrical element typically situated near the engine block.
- Using an oil filter wrench or your hands (if accessible), carefully loosen and remove the old oil filter by turning it counterclockwise.
- Before installing the new oil filter, lubricate the rubber gasket on the top of the filter with a small amount of fresh engine oil. This helps create a proper seal and makes removal easier during the next oil change.
- Hand-tighten the new oil filter onto the threaded oil filter housing. Do not overtighten it.
- Adding New Oil:
- Consult your vehicle's manual to determine the correct oil capacity and recommended oil grade.
- Insert a funnel into the oil fill cap, which is usually located on the top of the engine.
- Slowly pour the recommended amount of new engine oil into the engine using the funnel.
- Stop pouring periodically to check the oil level using the dipstick.
- Checking Oil Level:
- After adding oil, wait a few minutes to allow it to settle in the oil pan.
- Remove the dipstick from its tube, wipe it clean with a rag or paper towel, and reinsert it fully into the tube.
- Remove the dipstick again and check the oil level. It should be within the designated range between the "low" and "full" marks on the dipstick.
- If the level is low, add more oil in small increments and recheck until the level is correct.
- Final Steps:
- Reinstall the oil drain plug and tighten it to the manufacturer's specifications.
- Run the engine for a few minutes to circulate the new oil and then turn it off. Check for any leaks around the oil filter and drain plug.
- Once again, check the oil level using the dipstick and add more oil if necessary.
- Dispose of the used oil and oil filter properly at a recycling center.
Remember that these instructions are provided as a general guideline. Always refer to your vehicle's specific owner's manual for accurate and detailed instructions tailored to your Scania R420 with a retarder.

Remember that the specific steps you should take may vary depending on the model of your Crimestopper SP502 remote and the instructions provided in its user manual. If you're uncertain about any step, it's a good idea to refer to the manual or seek assistance from the manufacturer's customer support.
