Replace the fuel lines. I had the same problem with one of my riders. The inside of the fuel lines had rotted and they were collapsing when they tried to suck the gas through them. New lines and it ran all day!

The oil plug on the Briggs & Stratton 5.5 HP quantum engine is usually located at the bottom of the engine near the crankcase. Hi sounds like a carbretta problem, not enough fuel reaching the engine for it to run at higher rev's.

carb carb carb rebuild rebuild rebuild but as always check spark and compressin on both sides if you only have spark on one side it will sound fine untill under load

Not familiar with this model, but this is exactly how the smaller ones behave when the carburetor diaphragm is shot. Larger engines usually have a float system with needle and seat in which case the problem is either a leaking needle/seat assembly or saturated float.

If the petrol tank has enough head for the carburetor, yes.

First, loosen the arm until it is moving freely. Next, open the throttle to full capacity while making a note of which direction the arm moves in when the throttle moves through it. if there is thread locking compound on bolt or threads it must be removed, use a tap to clean the threads and a wire brush to clean the bolts. Use a thread locking compound (blue) when reassembling, torque the bolts to 30 ft. lbs. alternating bolt to bolt in 7-10 lb. increments. Recheck the torque after the engine has been ran up to op temp.
