Got a Amana model number NTW4605EW0 given to me lid lock switch is gone there is a red, white and blue wire how do you wire it up to trick it to think that the lid is locked

Trial and error I suggest the red and white together should do it. Be careful! You should just buy the switch for the lid mike

Top loader. Why does it fill with water slowly and drains midway through filling?

Turn off the water, and remove the hoses from the back of the machine. Inside there you will see a small gauze strainer. It is probably partially blocked with limescale and debris. It empties, because the logic board doesn't understand why the machine is not filled within a certain time, so it aborts and pumps out.

My Amana nfw7200tw it sounds like the last load I did doing it it came out soggy soaking wet because it wouldn't drain or spin running but it's not draining it's not spinning it's not doing anything what do I do

You could do with a bit of punctuation in there Mary! Putting my own in makes a difference where I put commas or periods. Only you know what you mean. You need a service call. It sounds like the pump has failed. When that happens, the machine protects itself and disables the spin feature. If you are 'handy', you could check the Pump for debris or something blocking it. However, it may be a mainboard problem. On your machine, it is a known issue! https://www.google.com/search?safe=off&rlz=1C1QJDB_enCA643CA644&sxsrf=ALeKk01G-oZ3IjxPpccoTF9clXS60bhhNA%3A1605477298475&ei=sqOxX-DBHLep5NoP8q6CuAY&q=amana+nfw7200tw+not+draining ..

Model LW3502W. How can I remove agitator?

It pulls straight up and off .But after many years this will be easier said than done due to accumulated grime. Pullers with extensions are sold for this purpose, but the price might outweigh the benefit. You can also break the agitator to get it off, but check first to make certain you can get a replacement. Another trick involves drilling straight down the center (under the fabric softener cup) of the agitator and spraying a lubricant like WD40 on the hole to help loosen the agitator where it attaches to the drive shaft spline.

I removed my whole lock switch to my lid on my Amana washer now the lock light switch won’t go off and it won’t fill up with water did I make it worse? I thought if I just removed it from the panel and took the whole thing off instead of trying to rewire it.. help

The system needs to know the lid is closed and locked before it will move onto the next stage of the programme - it needs feedback from the lid switch.

Won't drain or spin

Sounds like the lid switch which is only about 30.00 to fix if you do it yourself. It's a little difficult but it's much better than replacing or having someone come in and do it

I have an amana front load washer nfw7200tw10 I replaced the drain pump and still get ND error

I had the same problem, not sure it was your pump, load it with a bucket of hot water and some bleach, turn it on and let it run through a short cycle, the hot water and bleach can clean the sensor and the screen in the bottom going down to the pump, did water drain out when you took the lines loose, if it did its a good sign, most people dont realize you use only a quarter or less cup of soap in this washer, it will get the sensor water sensor dirty and the washer thinks it has water when it doesnt, the pump cant drain cause there is no water, . try the hot water trick, rmember use a bucket and as hot a water as you can, probably hair sudds and who know what is blocking the sensor, mine was hair, from my little girl, Matt

Amana washer NTW4516FW2 not agitating and not spinning. Have replaced lid lock, belt, motor, & shift actuator.

If power is going into the machine, through the power switch and into the controller and everything as far as possible is either new or in good condition, power should be going out of the other end of the controller into the water solenoid valve, pump and most importantly the motor. Clearly that isn't happening or your new motor would be happily doing what it is supposed to be doing. I think you should ensure the power switch is good and power is being delivered and if it is, suspect the controller is defective...

Hi, could you tell me where the lock switch is located on my amana washer NTW4610YQ0 model. Its not locking so my machine is filled with water.

The top-loading NTW4610YQ0 washer lid lock has two main parts. The catch is in the lid on the right hand side. (It's part 8 here: https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model/4iuyzkgib8-001268/amana-ntw4610yq0-washer-parts .) The lock assembly is inside the top of the cabinet in the same area (part 14). (There is a bezel around the lock opening, part 11.) Some of these top-loading washers have a small magnet in the catch. If that has fallen out, you can get the door lock failure. You may also need to check the wiring between the lock assembly and the control board. Look for corrosion on the contacts and check the conductors for continuity. If replacing the lock assembly and catch doesn't solve the problem, then the control board may be faulty. (The control board might not be communicating the lock command to the lock assembly.) I hope this helps. Another source of the parts and diagram is https://www.partselect.com/Models/NTW4610YQ0/Sections/Top-And-Cabinet-Parts/?ModelID=6786639&ModelNum=NTW4610YQ0&mfgModelNum=&ManufactureID=1&Selected=FFBE4A55BE392F882CA1266B39A1F1C1FB32E669&Position=5&mfg=Maytag&Type=Washer&Mark=5 . My Amana top load washer NTW4516FW2 gives me a blinking "rinse" light. After diagnostics, I'm getting an F8 E1 code. What should I be checking?

The F8 E1 code indicates a problem with the water coming into the washing machine for most Amana washing machines. This could indicate a problem with the inlet valve of the washer, the water hoses or your incoming water pressure. First make sure that the shut-off valves for the washer water lines are open. Close these valves and disconnect the water lines. Keep a bucket handy to catch the water in the hoses. Check the filters for debris and clean out any clogged filters. (Check both at the shut-off and the washer inlets.) Connect the hoses to the shut-off valves and check how much water flows into your bucket. (Some hoses are designed to limit flooding and restrict the flow when the hose is damaged. Replace the hoses if they are older or limiting your water flow.) Connect the hoses back to the washer. Next do you get water flowing into the washer when you start the machine? If possible, try both a hot cycle and cold and check for different flow rates. (We had the inlet valve on a washer fail to provide full flow for hot water. Replacing the valve cured the problem.) Replace the valve, if it's not opening properly. If you are getting good water flow, you might have a problem with the water pressure/flow sensor. There could be dirt blocking air flow in the tubing to this sensor. Clean out the tubing or replace the sensor. The problem could also be with the wiring or the control board not getting the messages to and from the inlet valve or pressure sensor. I hope this helps. The parts diagrams for the NTW4516FW2 are available from Sears Parts Direct: https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model/1l5hhsznio-001268/amana-ntw4516fw2-washer-parts . Cindy Wells (With the faulty inlet valve, we were able to improve the water flow temporarily. We took off the hot water line and filled it with household vinegar while turning on and off the washer. This dissolved the calcium carbonate deposits inside the valve.)
