Bosh Washing Machine F18 fault

Dear
would you be so kind to let me know how I can repair the F18 fault. I don't have the manual anymore but I believe it is due to a drainage problem and I might just need to clean the filter.

I also had this problem - the machine was full of water and it flashed up F18. I had to drain the water out of the machine using the small pipe located next to the drain filter. There was loads of water to drain out. I used my oven roasting tray which was perfect for the job. Then I undid the screwcap filter. There was a lot of really black water that came out, along with about two pounds worth of coins and some hairgrips. Now my machine works perfectly !

Hello, F18 means pump is blocked or broken, clean filter first, no result change then you have to cahnge the pump.

Bosch exxcel f18 error. Machine runs cycle but will not drain water. Have emptied and unblocked pump on front and checked drainage hose.
according to what i find on google, it's a drainage fault, drain manually and check filter...ALSO CHECK OUTLET PIPES FOR ANYTHING BLOCKED IN IT

Hotpoint WMD960 F18 error code
I had the F18 fault.Nothing much worked except drain pump.
Simple solution for me was:
1)disconnect power 2)take off top of machine(2screws at rear) 3)locate the connector which fits on the rear of the main led display panel.4) Pull it off, squirt switch cleaner and replace with plenty of wiggling! 5) Put it back together and start washing !

Hi I have got bosh logixx 8 1400 express and it is showing F18 on the display with an very annoying boop noise. Could u please help me in sorting out this . thanks
Error F18 means that the filter is blocked.

Look around for a propeller shaped part, it should be able to spin freely. If not, remove the debris so that it is unblocked.
