Ok i had the same problem- If i remember correctly my "window" was messed up. Check it out... If not i always pull the "take batteries out while on" trick which resets the ram.

Err syntax pops up when trying to graph

You have a syntax error in the function you're trying to graph. Could you post the function in question?

Syntax error for graphs

This happened to me. I left my calculator open in my bag and accidentally on the 20th function there was a multiply sign, so the calculator would directly output syntax error. Scroll down and check all your function slots are clear.

I think I pushed a button [2ND][+], and [ClrAllLIsts]. After that, I tried to draw graphs, but when I push the [GRAPH] button or [ZOOM][5]/[6], it doesn't make any graph! What should I do...??

You do not say that you opened the Y= editor and typed in at least one function and THEN pressed Graph. If you do not enter a function, all you will get are the axes (if the calculator is configured to display the axes.
1. Open the Y= editor.
2. Type in a function EXample y=2X+1 (To type X press the [X,T, Theta, n] key)
3. Press ENTER to validate the function.
4. Press the GRAPH button.
5. If you do not see a straigt line press the ZOOM button
6. Select ZoomSTD

My TI 84 plus silver: whenever I push the graph button the message ERR: Syntax 1:quit 2: goto appear on screen please help

Press the Y= button.

There are several possibilities:

1) Scroll through all equations, Y1 through Y9 and Y0. Make sure they are cleared.
2) The equation you typed in is not entered correctly.
3) Make sure Plot 1, Plot 2, and Plot 3 are NOT highlighted.

How do I set it to factory default settings? When I want to graph or want to do a zoom fit I get a ERR:SYNTAX 1:quit

Seems unlikely that you get a syntax error for both graphing and Zooming. Probably the error is in the function you are trying to graph.

To reset the RAM,
Press [2nd]MEM][7:Reset][1:All Ram][2:Reset] [ENTER]
Calculator answers with Ram Cleared.
Press [CLEAR] button to erase the above message.

Once Ram is cleared, open the [Y=] function editor and at the Y1= line, enter [X,T, theta, n] key or [ALPHA][X], to draw the simple function Y1=X.
If that works, that means your calculator is OK.

Graphing Feature error message

This usually happens after the statistical graphs have been used. You should deactivate them. Press [2nd][Y=] (STAT PLOT). Select [4:PlotsOff] [ENTER]. Calculator echoes Done on main screen.
Restart your graphs.

My Graphing calculator has no x or y axis. Its all Blank.

Press the 2nd Button then the ZOOM button. Make sure that AxesOn is highlighted. If not, move your cursor down until you on AxesOn and press ENTER.

If AxesOn is highlighted, then it is probably your window. Press ZOOM, then 6.

Graph and trace buttons don't work

If either error occurs when trying to graph a function (not a STAT PLOT), the error can be corrected by turning off the STAT PLOTS. The following steps will turn the STAT PLOTS off, allowing the graph of the function to be displayed.• Press [2nd] [Y=] to access the STAT PLOTS menu.
• Select 4: PlotsOff.
• Press [ENTER].
• Try graphing a function like y = x^4-3x^3+6x-1
