Loose sata connection on the logic board on a macbook...
The current (latest) model white macbook changed both of the sata connectors, and the HD one on the board isn't anywhere near as solid of a fit.
Among other things, can block the machine from being able to boot off anything (internal or external) until you pull out the internal HD

"HDD" means Hard Drive, so there is a problem that only an Apple Genius or other IT guy can look at. Worst case senario, the hard drive crashed. If you bought it with the upgraded "Solid-state drive" then you have nothing to worry about. Reply if you have any other questions. Good luck, Cooper. That is a hard drive failure and you should take it to apple store and have them replace it as this is a well known problem.see link for more details http://support.apple.com
