I think your right. So check that relay located in the compressor. It has covered so remove the cover and see if the relay has deformity. Also check the overload protection, a similar problem will also cause it- turn on and off it that is near to be defective. You will need a tester for testing that parts.
Nice to help you.

TDD 2 Kegerator clicking and not cooling?

It's extremely rare that the compressor will be any good. Usually replacing the start relay does nothing on these small units. If you know how to use a multi-meter and are any good at wiring the cheapest way to go is to get what is called a 3-in-1 start kit at a HVAC wholesaler. You need to know the model of the compressor and/or the horsepower to get the right one. I would recommend getting a service tech to look it over though. Most likely the compressor is locked up.

Beverage-Air Kegerator Not Staying Cold

It can take a very long time to get a keg of beer down in temperature. The heat transfer from a keg is slow due to the lack of air circulation inside the keg. You should also check your condenser coils, make sure they are clean. Door gasket should also be in good repair. Hope this helps.

Starts but wont stay running

In reply: if its not the maf there are 2 relays in the relay box i belive its underhood, 1 primes the fuelline to 32psi the second kicks in after it starts, and keeps it running and varies the psi. if the primer relay isnt kicking in then it wont start due to no fuel
