Refrigerator makes a click sound then stops and never turns on to cool. The lights and thermo stat works, but that's it.

he letters "OF" on the display of your RS267TDRS indicate the Cooling Off mode has been activated. To cancel this mode, press the Lighting and Freezer buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until a chime sounds and a numeric reading returns to the display, allowing you to set the desired temperature. The compressor should turn on in about 5 minutes and begin producing cold air.

The sensor is got faulty,which triggers the alarm or its wiring is got loose.Also see if the freezer or fridge component got over freezed with ice modules.

I would reset the breaker then check the power at the t-stat. Check to see if the t-stat is closing. And listen for a hmmm from the compressor. Also check to see if the evaperator is frozen up (it could give the t-stat a false reading of all else fails I would pull the fridge out and check the compresser if it is very hot to the touch it's pooped. You have a defrost problem. 3 parts: Timer (or "adaptive defrost control"), defrost heater and def. termination thermostat.Find the timer, it shoud be nehind the bottom front grille to the right on Amana (if you see a blck box under there with a sticker on it, it's the ADC model) turn the timer CW until it clicks. Take the back off the bottom of the freezer and listen. After 5-10 minutes if you hear the sound of the sound of water hitting a hot grill. If you hear this the heater and thermo are working and the problem is the timer/ADC. No hiss? Unplug fridge. Check thermo and heater for continuity. Replace the one that's open. If the heater's open, replace the thermo too: Maybe it didn't open soon emouhg and caused heater failure.

The clicking sounds like the compressor is trying to start. If the condenser fan running? If it is then you need to check the relay of the compressor. It could be a bad compressor.

The clicking you hear is most likely the compressor trying to cycle. It sounds to me like you are low on refrigerant. Most are thermo. protected and will not run on low coolant. Frigerators DO NOT make cold, they absorb heat from inside the box and expell it out the back. Most common cause of refrigerant loss is a leak, usually near the compressor. Hope I Helped

why did you turn off in the first place??? to defrost ice off back wall??? if so sounds like you ahce a bad defrost thermostat. (evaporator fan get power from runnig through thermo. and when the thermo goes bad the unit stops cooling correctly because of the massive amount of ice that buildsaround the coil
