Upper & lower level does not cool. Temperature stays at 78 for lower level & 75 for upper. In attempting to set cooler temperature at 55 for top and 45 for lower it immediately reverts back to 78 for lower & 75 for upper. Motor in back is hot but other parts don't seem to be running. In the past the top & or sides would be hot but not now. At least 10 years old

Take shelves off. temp display unit in middle of shelf is where circuit board is for testing. pull middle unit forward and unscrew back panel. check lines for leak. color should look like a teal green. thats where your leak will be. Need tech. for the rest.......good luck!!!!

2006 Silverado, with a/c running and cold on both sides for 2 hours or so then the drivers side gos hot passengers side cold at the same time.

Air Temperature Sensors
The air temperature sensors are a 2-wire negative temperature co-efficient thermistor. The vehicle uses the following air temperature sensors:
• Ambient Air Temperature Sensor
• Inside Air Temperature Sensor Assembly
• Upper Left Air Temperature Sensor
• Upper Right Air Temperature Sensor
• Lower Left Air Temperature Sensor
• Lower Right Air Temperature Sensor
A signal and a low-reference circuit enables the sensor to operate. As the air temperature surrounding the sensor increases, the sensor resistance decreases. The sensor signal voltage decreases as the resistance decreases. The sensor operates within a temperature range between -40°C (-40°F) to 101°C (215°F). The sensor signal varies between 0-5 volts.
The input of the duct air temperature sensors are different from the ambient and inside sensors. The HVAC control module converts the signal to a range between 0-255 counts. As the air temperature increases the count value will decrease.

The HVAC control module monitors the upper left and upper right duct temperature sensors when the mode switch is in the VENT or BI-LEVEL positions. The HVAC control module monitors the lower left and lower right duct temperature sensors when the mode switch is in the DEFOG, FLOOR or FRONT DEFROST positions. The duct sensors are used to measure the temperature of the air exiting the ducts to help maintain a consistent cabin air temperature. These duct sensor inputs provide the HVAC control module a way to determine if the engine needs to be started to maintain a specific air temperature. If an upper duct sensor circuit failure is detected the HVAC module will not request an engine start to help cool the cabin. A lower duct sensor circuit failure will not prevent the engine from starting.

Why can't I lower my honeywell 8500 below 67 on cool?

With a two story house you have to be aware that cold air flows downwards so any cold air coming from an ac unit will flow downstairs( normally down the stairway) so unless you can close off the down stairs then the up stairs unit will be cooling downstairs as well. Ac units have a thermostat located in the air intake and it cools until the cold air has risen to that point. In effect the space above the ac unit will be hotter than the floor. Knowing how they work ,you can see that the upstairs unit will never reach the set temperature because the cold air is continually heating from the house and will never get to the top thermostat.
So your solutions are
1-- fit controls that restrict the cold air from leaving the upper floor (Doors)
2--don't run the upper ac unit unless you are living up there (waste of money
)3 place an ac in each upper room and keep the room door closed

Just purchased and is not cooling at all

Cannot get Danby Silhouette 166 dual wine cooler to change temperature. It stays at 70 (both upper and lower). Can you help. Just bought used brought it home and it won't cool.

I also just brought home a used Danby Silhouette 166-bottle wine fridge and it is not cooling. Did you have someone come look at yours and did you get it fixed?

I need to lower the temperature

There is a thermostat that is seen on the unit , you will have to set the thermostat to a lower level. Also check if there is any gasket leak to confirm that the cooling does not stay.
Keep the cooler away from hot spots to encourage the cooling to stay.

Push BAKE pad.
Enter 550°F using the number pads.
Immediately push and hold BAKE pad for appropriate oven
approximately 3 seconds.
To decrease or increase oven temperature. Push AUTO SET
pad until negative or positive numbers appear. Oven can be
adjusted from -35° to +35° (-37.2° to + 1.6° C) in 5° F (2.7° C).
To avoid over adjusting oven move temperature -5° each time.
Push OVEN CANCEL button.

RADIATOR REPLACEMENT

  • At the time of installation, please refer to the following items.
  • Start the engine, and check for coolant and A/T fluid leaks.
  • Check the A/T fluid level.
  1. Drain engine coolant.
  2. Canada: Disconnect relay block (for daytime running light system) from battery hold-down clamp.
  3. Disconnect upper radiator hose from radiator.
  4. Disconnect lower radiator hose from water inlet pipe.
  5. Disconnect A/T oil cooler hoses from oil cooler pipes.
  6. Disconnect No.1 and No.2 cooling fan connectors.
  7. Disconnect No.1 Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) switch wire connector.

  8. Remove radiator and cooling fans assembly.
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 upper supports. Torque: 12.8 Nm (9 ft. lbs.)
    2. Lift out the radiator, and remove the radiator and cooling fans assembly.
    3. Remove the 2 lower supports.
  1. Remove A/T Oil cooler hoses from radiator.
  2. Remove lower radiator hose from radiator.
  3. Remove No.1 ECT switch.

  4. Remove No.1 cooling fan from radiator. Remove the 2 bolts and cooling fan. Torque: 5.0 Nm (44 inch lbs.)
  5. Remove No.2 cooling fan from radiator. Remove the 3 bolts and cooling fan. Torque: 5.0 Nm (44 inch lbs.)
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Dose not get cold enough?

Does the compressor run or shut off when it gets to 55 &57? Leave unplugged over night and try again.. Let me know.
