Miele w1113. Washer drum won't spin during wash cycle

Best guess, failed drum bearings.

Possibly a broken damper.

What does it do after wash? There are programs that do that on purpose.

Page 13 refers final spin soak, so as not to crease clothes

Page 11 refers to Wash 2 hour soak

the unit has a brake you cannot spin the drum in that way,with the back off there should be a lever with a cable on it pull the lever back and get someone to try the bowl then

open up and see if any brackets are bent or broken

You will need to replace the thrust bearing kit. Here is the part to order.
It comes with the instructions and is an easy fix.

Check the motor brushes and belt.

Thanks for using FixYa. It seems to be the belt that has gone bad and to resolve this it should be replaced. From what you have dont think the bearings and belt both can go bad, you can unplug the washer completely and then try to turn the drum with your hand, if it spins like this then the belt is fine and you need to get the bearings replaced. However, if it wont turn then it is the belt that is bad, $925 is too high for bearings. Please accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Hi dear.Please check the door gasket for any wear & tear.(Also open the door,ajar inside the door gasket, check inside of it for any fine tear or cut.)Please check for pump filter.Is it attached correctly.I hope that helps.Thanks.
