Lcd is not a replaceable part.
try these steps to resolve problem
- unplug the power cord from the back of the printer while it's turned on
- wait for a minute before you plug it back in
- if it does not solve the problem
- unplug power cord from the back again while machine is turned on
-wait for a minute, push pound key and 3 while plugging power cord back in
-lastly,if the first two do not solve the problem
- try pound key and number 6 same path above
-if issue still exists, printer needs to be replaced
I posted my fix on an HP Support thread that is pretty much the only legit repair, but really band-aid, solution to the LCD issue. It's specifically a hardware design issue. NO amount of unplugging, replugging, etc etc is going to resolve your issue. Check out my repair process here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Other-Printing-Questions/Display-screen-for-Officejet-6500-dissolved/m-p/1916445#M71088

I would bet that you have a swamp cooler or evaporative cooler in you house right? you have water condensation behind your screen. I have the same problem and I have not yet found a solution. Anyone have any ideas?
