How do I reset the EFO Aqua Control system?

I had a problem where the rubber seal on the front door was janked off and water sipped into the machine.  Now the Aqua Control system is activated, the pump continously runs and the machine wont start.  How do I reset the Aqua Control system?

Thanks Guest! It worked perfectly lifting the face of your machine by 45 degrees

The washing machine was full of powder (this was the cause)

In our case, the solution of tilting the machine also worked perfectly.

The pump was running continuously and the program did not start. However, the EF0-message did NOT appear on the display. (Instead the remaining minutes were given as usual, but - as I said - the program did not start). I concluded from the manual that it had to do with the aqua-control and the manual advised to contact the service-desk. Which I certainly would have done, if I hadn't seen this page.

Having returned from holiday with bags full of dirty clothes, the last thing we could use was a broken down washing machine. But standing in front of the machine and pulling the upper side towards me (hereby tilting the machine 20-30 degrees) made everything look normal. As it was late, I took no further action.

This morning, I investigated the inside of the machine. There was no water, but there was some dry material which might be dry soap flocks. We may have put too much soap in the machine (our clothes were very dirty) and the surplus of foam triggered the aqua-control. After this investigation, I let the machine run with the wash in it. No problem occurred.

The machine now runs normally. No need for the service desk, no estimated waiting time of 2-3 days and no estimated bill of 150 euros. Great!

1Don't even try to reset it. First the water must flow out of your machine. You could try to lift the face of your machine by 45 degrees to help it away. Then the EF0 flag automatically disappears and you can continue using your machine. Contacting the your local service center as the user guide suggests is strongly recommended.

  • The door seal is held in place on the door frame by a thin metal clamp band. This band is held in place at the top of the door seal with two plastic halves that clip together. To remove, insert a flat bladed screwdriver between the two halves and gently lever or prize them apart and then unpeel the door seal from the door frame
  • Remove the soap dispenser drawer
  • Remove the timer knob and control panel

HI, The machine displays "EFO"... We put the water out as described on your site but it seems the code "EFO" is still in memory (there is no more water inside, but each time we start a new program, the...

EFO = Filter Blocked (low flow) and it is accessible from the bottom front of the machine.

1. there is a blockage in the filter or drain hose.takes too long to drain out.
2. over dosing of powder or liquid. again can cause an air lock in the pump which slows the drain pump down.

Check the filter and drain hose and test again. this fault will only come up at the end of a cycle.
You do not need to reset the machine to get rid of the fault code as this is automatically deleted.

Run an empty load with no detergent in an attempt to get rid of the code.

How do i re set an EFO code on an AEG LAVAMAT

you just need to mop up the water inside the cabinet to allow the float switch in the base to reset.check there is nothing stopping the float returning to the floor. a small leak from the door seal can cause enough of a leak to trip it . clean the door glass and seal to stop this. or change the door seal.

Rubber door seal has disconnected

if the wire in the seal is propely positioned and not slightly askew it should work OK But if it looks correct and leaks you will need a njew seal as it may have been bent or stretched
