i bought a heating pad and it had this retarded 2 hour auto off feature. i remember heating pads just 10 years ago didn't use to have this useless feature. i bought it because i needed to keep an abandoned baby mouse warm and heating pads like these seemed to be all that were available. i missed one of my alarms to unplug/replug the pad and reset the timer, and woke up an hour later to find my baby mouse had died from being too cold..

F whatever retardation in this broken world required the integration of such a short and worthless timer hardcoded into a circuitboard to make it difficult for normal people to disable this terrible feature.

Auto off is a safety feature and some heating pads will not let you disable it. Give it another look and read the manual completely. If there is no meantion of overriding the auto off then you cannot override it. This explains why so many heat pad buyers are so overjoyed when the find one that allows you to override the auto off. For example: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sunbeam-Health-King-Size-Programmable-Heating-Pad/3205707#Item+Description

I hope this helps.

These timed heating pads wake me every 2 hours from my sleep. They are for idiots or babies I have bought a few with the 2 hr. override disabled. I think they were Sunbeams. Sunbeams phone number will tell you where they are sold. I am going to get 10 of them next time I can, I have ordered them for like $40 or somethng on Amazon and also W-Mart..right now my back is spazzing bad and it's either go out at 4 am which I am doing now, or take a zillion narcotic pain pills to stop the pain. Its like drugs. You get a few idiots that run it for the legitimate customers. I am a 60 year old adult have never had a fire in my life, do not smoke in bed (which SHOULD BE ILLEGAL SO SHOULD CIGARETTES) AND THEY PICK ON HEATING PADS! f THE WHOLE LAW SYSTEM IN THIS RIDCULOUS COUNTRY AND THE STUPID MANU'S WHO ARE EITHER AFRAID TO MAU OR ARE NOT ALLOWED TO MANU. WHY CAN'T I SIGN FOR IT? Tylenol KILLS MORE PEOPLE, ALCOHOL, CIGS, AND YES. EVEN IBUPROPHEN KJILLS MORE PEOPLE. OH YES, WE CANNOT SELL THESE THINGS NECAUE PEOPLE WILL KILL THEIR WELFARE BABIES WITH THEM. OF COURTSE. WHY DON'T THEY TAKE ALL IDIOTS AND WEFARES AND PUT THEM IN 1 COMPOUND SO THEY CAN ALL KILL EACH OTHER? All's I want is an old fashioned heating pad that won't turn off every 2 hours. Crying in paid, yet again, because no heating pad lasts forever , I will cry at the 24 hr drug store. I will cry at the 24 hour Walmart. I will order good ones on Amazon I'll settle for 2 hours of pain relief tonight. And they wonder why people get hooked on Oxys? You eatch. They will outlaw shoe laces next. They already outlawed hoodies for children that have the string for a fastener. Yeh one lady let her kids strangle himself so now all our children freeze. the recall was unprecedented in the history of the US. they all went to countries who appreciated the hoodies for their kids. Why not let people ehave the choice? they put labels on other things, why not this? Good bye cruel world I'm really done.

I couldn't find precise information for this model pad, but some heating pads have a timer built in, and this is for safety purposes, to keep people from being burned, which has happened with some Homemedics models, and it might be a good idea to check the following web page, since some have been recalled:
http://www.fda.gov/medicaldevices/safety/alertsandnotices/patientalerts/ucm069997.htm
Yours sounds like it's built in, since you don't have a setting to keep the heat on. I can't recommend bypassing the timer since that could cause fire or injury, and pads like these are designed to prevent those problems from occurring.

Sorry, but you don't. It's a safety feature to prevent burns and fires, and there is no over ride.

With an auto timer plug in socket the power will automatically reset itself to the lowest time increment setting on the timer. It will still shut off but then turn back on when the socket cycled to on.

Also I've shorted out the timer with a paper clip and it makes an impressive spark.
Good luck

You can't disable this timer, it is there for safety to prevent burns to the skin and possible overheating by the heating pad from extended use. In attempt to wire around the timer can result in fire and serious personnel injury.

How to set oven timer on a GE electric stove

that is not a problem. I copied the instructions straight from the manual which you can also review by clicking here.
Using the clock and timer.
To Set the Clock The clock must be set to the correct time of day for the automatic oven timing functions to work properly. The time of day cannot be changed during a timed baking or self-cleaning cycle. Press the CLOCK pad. Press the HOUR and MIN + or – pads to set the time of day. Press the START pad. Make sure the clock is set to the correct time of day. To Set the Timer Press the KITCHEN TIMER ON/OFF pad. Press the HOUR and MIN + or – pads until the amount of time you want shows in the display. The maximum time you can enter in minutes is 59. Cooking times more than 59 minutes should be changed to hours and minutes. For example, enter 90 minutes as 1 hour, 30 minutes. If you make a mistake, press KITCHEN TIMER ON/OFF and begin again. Press the START pad. After pressing the START pad, SET disappears; this tells you the time is counting down, although the display does not change until one minute has passed. Seconds will not be shown in the display until the last minute is counting down. When the timer reaches :00, the control will beep 3 times followed by one beep every 6 seconds until the KITCHEN TIMER ON/OFF pad is pressed. The 6-second tone can be canceled by following the steps in the Special features of your oven control section under Tones at the End of a Timed Cycle. The timer is a minute timer only. The timer does not control oven operations. The maximum setting on the timer is 9 hours and 59 minutes. To Reset the Timer If the display is still showing the time remaining, you may change it by pressing the KITCHEN TIMER ON/OFF pad, then press the HOUR and MIN + or – pads until the time you want appears in the display. If the remaining time is not in the display (clock, delay start or cooking time are in the display), recall the remaining time by pressing the KITCHEN TIMER ON/OFF pad and then pressing the HOUR and MIN + or – pads to enter the new time you want. To Cancel the Timer Press KITCHEN TIMER ON/OFF pad twice.

Have heating pad model 818-7. blinking red light for high when connected- but no heat. what to do. I love this soft, terry cloth hour glass heating pad controller model number: SW204. e12107 is also on...

I had this problem with a heating pad too. I tried turning it off, unplugging it, then plug it back in and see if the light is still blinking. If it's not, set it to the temp you want. My heating pad was very temperamental that way, it didn't want to be set before it was plugged in. I hope this works for you.

Frosts up wont get cold MCBR1000S

If freezer is icing up, you might have a defrost problem. Frost free models have a heating element that is controlled by a timer to automatically defrost ice, defrost timer turns on defrost heating element every 12 hours to melt ice in freezer and allow good air flow.
You can test defrost element with an ohm meter(located inside freezer coils-will have two wires going to a plug connection), if OK replace defrost timer (located in various places depending on make and model

How to set time with new control board?

You may set the clock on your Microwave per page 6 of the User Guide by following the steps below. We've included the link for the User Guide below.https://www.whirlpool.com/content/dam/global/documents/200105/owners-manual-8300610.pdf

This is a 12 hour clock and does not show a.m. or p.m. To Set: Before setting, make sure the oven, Timer and Timed Cooking are off. 1. Press CLOCK. 2. Press the HR or MIN "up" or "down" arrow pads to set the time of day. 3. Press CLOCK or START/ENTER. To Disable: The clock time can be disabled so that it does not show on the display. To disable, press and hold CLOCK for 5 seconds. To display the clock time again, press and hold CLOCK for 5 seconds and the time of day will show on the display. The clock time should not have to be reset.

GE Profile JGB97 Self Cleaning Oven Controls won't work

It sounds like the controls have been placed into a lockout mode. If your model is a JGBP79 do the following:
1) Press the BAKE and BROIL HI/LO pads at the same time for 3 seconds until the
display shows SF.
2) Press the SELF CLEAN pad. The display will show LOC OFF.

Now here is where the directions are kind of confusing, I will give it as they say it:

3) Press the SELF CLEAN pad again. The display will show LOC.
4) Press the START pad to activate the control lockout feature and leave
the control set in this special features mode.

Seems to me if its locked already, you would just do steps 1 and 2. And if you wish to lock it do steps 1 thru 4.
