I need the cord to the computer to down load pictures

Have you considered NOT connecting your camera to your computer? The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Even if you have to buy a card reader, it's not going to cost you any more than a USB cord.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any cataloging program.

Having gone over ten months without a response to my query, I assume my suggestion to use a card reader instead of a cord solved the problem.

Need a usb cord for my sony handycam dcr-trv820

Mini or micro? A lot of times, mini usb cables will work across electronics (ie. multi-card readers, ipods, micro recorders, 35mm digital cameras... you get the picture). Radio shack and walmart carry mini cables.

I took 10 pictures without the memory card so the pictures are on the cameras memory i suppose. I'm now wanting to load them onto my computer but my picture program as well as computer can't see the...

Took a bit to find this this bad news in the manual but what happens now is to get the pictures from the internal memory to the computer as a down load you need to first insert a memory card format the memory card and load each picture from the internal memory onto the memory card one at a time once that is down then you can download the memory card to the computer then you will need to reformat the memory card and then go back into the internal memory erase each one of those images and format the internal memory. Now the GOOD news, you only have 10 pictures. Don't forget to do the formatting.

Your power cord that came with your phone is also a USB cord. This can be plugged directly into your computer. Once plugged in your computer will automatically download the pre-installed software and you can then access your photos from your computer.

How to download picture to computer

do you have a cable that plugs into your camera and usb plug on the other end?....if not...you will need one. when you plug the cord in properly....make sure your camera is on and set to the 'show images' mode....not the 'take picture'' mode..(the slide switch just above the menu button...must be down..)
It should show up on your computer in 'my computer' if you have the software installed.

Won't down load

Just use a memory card and a generic USB memory card reader. The cord system is a bad idea for any camera.

Kodak easy share SV 811

I had the same problem. I use kodak easyshare software and load my pics on to that. Then put all the pics you want in the picture tray. Have your frame plugged into the computer with your usb cord. Then go up to File menu and drop down to "copy to". On my computer it is Folder "E" which is the drive the frame is connected to. Then pick from the Resize drop down menu " best for picture frame', then click copy. You will see the program loading all the pics to E drive. When done, unplug usb cord and you will see it loading on your pic frame. As easy as this is to do, I found it frustrating as well, but when it works, it is easy. Hope this helps

Downlaod to a laptop computer

Hey randster,
You could use a card reader that connects to a USB port, and use the picture management software that comes with most operating systems. You could also contact the manufacturer and they should be able to get you the USB cord for your camera and often they can provide the software for free. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan
