I have a MCWBC77DZC magic Chef wine cooler 2 years old all of sudden stopped cooling. The power is ok but as I adjust the temperature it does not hold and goes back to room temp. It seems liek the relay, any idea what could be wrong? and if it is the relay where is it mounted? Thanks a lot for the help.

I have a MCWBC77DZC that stopped cooling too. After reading several post on websites, I replaced the compressor start relay and is now cooling again. Horray! Ordered the start relay from www.RepairClinic.com Item number 1795921 Part #: 6R8MG $20.55

It only cool a bit but the problem remains. So it's not the relay.

SOURCE: Magic Chef Wine Cooler Model MCWC44DZ Where can I

On the Magic Chef site you can order parts for the cooler. I took mine out and treid to find them on the web somewhere else and could not locate them anywhere except China and England. I know this isn't true but tried every search option I could think of. They are about $22 plus shipping (HIGH). HH error code? on magic chef mcbc580dbt

I, too, have just seen (late June 2013) the "HH" code on my Magic Chef wine cooler (and it is running too cold and I can't reset the temperature). Have you found a solution since your posting of about 1 year ago?

Magic Chef Dual temp. wine Cooler #MCWBC77DZC

I suspect the cooler can only actually regulate one of those temperatures and the other one just drags along behind. Perhaps the weather is now warmer and the cooler has to keep the motor on longer to keep cool. The unregulated bottom temperature ends up cooler as a consequence.

Either that or the opposite effect is doing it.

The answer might be to find a 61 degree place in your house to keep the reds.
