Where in your feet is the pain? Is it the arch? What Does it feel like?

As no area of the foot was mentioned for where the pain was occurring, I wish to direct my response to the pain at the rear of the foot where the sheath surrounds the heel which is commonly known as plantar fascitis when it tears. The footwear I found to be most helpful was Finn Comfort and Birkenstock as both have excellent soles in them so they provide a great arch support, wide range of movement and width for toes, and low heels so the muscles and tendon get exercised and their length returns to normal and thus will not tear the sheath surrounding your heel.

Heel pain in the morning might be because of a condition like plantar fasciitis or Achilles tendinitis. It may also be due to an injury like a stress fracture.

To treat it you can follow the tips below recommended by most Orthopedic Doctor :
- Rest your foot.
- Do heel and foot muscle stretches.
- Take over-the-counter pain relievers.
- Wear shoes with good arch support and a cushioned sole.

You have Plantar Fasciitis. I leave a link with more information.

Plantar fasciitis is most often seen in middle-aged men and women, but can be found in all age groups. Plantar fasciitis is diagnosed with the classic symptoms of pain well localized over the heel area of the bottom of the foot. Often the pain from plantar fasciitis is most severe when you first stand on your feet in the morning. Pain often subsides quite quickly, but then returns after prolonged standing or walking.

My legs as well as my feet gets swollen evertime I gain some weight and they burning when I wake up in the morning they are normal during the day they start all over again

Are you diabetic? I'm no doctor but my wife is diabetic and has diabetic neuropathy in her feet. When her blood sugar spikes high, her feet cause her pain too. I have pain and burning in my feet also but it is caused by nerve damage in my spine. For me, the longer I stand or walk, the stronger the pain gets. I would see a doctor if I were you. If possible, when your pain comes on so that they can test your sugar during your symptoms. This would be something that the nurse could do, probably without an appointment depending upon your relationship with your doctor. Good luck.

What cause the pain on the lower right back next to the buttocks?

Lower right back pain is commonly caused by damage or injury to the spinal structures, such as the lower right back muscles, the lumbar intervertebral discs, or the facet joints. While problems with these structures are more likely to cause centralized pain around the spine, it is possible that pain is felt primarily or entirely on one side of the spine.
Typical symptoms include:
  • Limited range of motion (movements such as bending forward or turning to the side may be painful or impossible)
  • Tenderness and/or swelling in the lower right back
  • Lower back muscle spasms
  • Pain that feels better with rest, such as sitting with both feet propped up and the knees supported and slightly bent-in an armchair with an ottoman, or in a recliner or propped up with pillows in bed
  • Pain that feels better with ice or cold pack application
  • Pain that resolves at least partly with over-the-counter NSAIDs, such as ibuprofen, and/or acetaminophen
  • Pain that increases when getting up from bed or from a seated position

Good morning I just need some advice ...My Husband Died 3 months ago in a motorcycle accident and i need to move out of the house . I have a pain on the left side beneath my ribs

Stress can be at the root of many aches and pains and mental exhaustion can make things worse.

As a general rule any pain that interferes with your normal routine should be seen by a doctor. Give it a week and if it is no better see your GP or family doctor. Your local pharmacist might be able to provide something to ease your discomfort until then.

Meanwhile I suggest you check out ehealth.com but please note I usually recommend (for obvious reasons) people don't check out symptoms until they have a diagnosis from a professional.

Which is better for lower back pain: heat or ice?

As a general rule, it is best to apply cold therapy to your lower back in the first 24 to 72 hours following your lower back injury. The application of cold therapy can minimize your inflammation and swelling-which in turn may reduce your pain.
