My defy s600 is overheating on 3 of 4 plates. Swapping out switches of most to least problematic yielded no improvement. What to check next? Thx for a great forum. N

Look for a defective capacitor on the circuit board, like on the picture. The top is somewhat curved or even open.
Replace the cap and the ones that are the same. most likely they are from the same batch and will be defect in a few weeks or so. Look at the green capacitors. the top left was blown in my hub.

Hi I have the same HOB, DEFY DHD406. The back left plate sensor doesn't seem to pick up my finger when I press it. The hob is brand new. All the other plates work except one

If it's gas they are manual control, only the oven has a thermostat.

as far i know it is normal if u put at high control after a sec,the sencor control is turn off then a sec again it open coz of the sensor, design the sensor for not overheating the hob.it is normal try to position the control in in not a max position.or the pot u use is exactly in the circle or bigger dont put a small one in the bigger hole of ur elctric hob.tnx

im sure u using the wrong amperage fuse
