The compressor is what causes your cooler to cool down. If the compressor is not working properly, it could cause temperature issues. The compressor may, for some reason, not be getting enough power, and it is not starting properly. Alternatively, it may be overheating, causing it to malfunction. https://www.abaapplianceservice.com/about-us/blog/4-reasons-your-wine-cooler-is-not-cooling.html
Its really hard to determine without proper diagnosis, but are you sure it indeed has a compressor? does it run ? Does it have a circulating fan inside? A lot of the wine coolers I've dealt with were "Peltier" coolers. They use electronics to cool usually only to about 10deg below room temp. They require a load ( in this case wine bottles ) to operate properly. They don't have a cold control like a refrigerator.
There
are many reasons to purchase a thermoelectric cooler including, but not limited
to, being quiet and eco-friendly.
Personally, I prefer thermoelectric coolers because they don't vibrate. The vibration of a compressor cooling system
can cause the sediments in the wine to be disturbed and affect the flavor/taste
of the wine.
Hi,
Fan is hitting ice... defrost it.. There are a few reasons why the refrigerator part will not cool...here are a couple of tips that will help you to figure out why the refrigerantor is not cooling...
First check the grating over the fan in the back. If it is covered
with dust, there won't be enough air flow and the unit won't cool.
Clean the dust off and see if it cools back down. It may take a long
time to cool down if it is full of wine, so I recommend taking the wine
out to test if it works.
