For replacement parts contacting the manufacturer of the humidifier would be the best thing to do. They know what parts can be replaced and if they have service repair facilities or if you would need to work directly with the company. Germ Guardian website is www.germguardian.com. Toll free 1-866-603-5900.

What is proper procedure for running vinegar through my Hankscraft cool mist humidified?

Not sure why you would want to. Vinegar is typically used to remove calcium scale that remains after a heating element or electrodes boil off water. The Hankscraft 240 doesn't boil the water off. All the minerals in the water go out the spout with the mist.

Water refill light prevents unit from working. Tank is filled . Unit has been cleaned

Your problem is most likely a damaged Ultrasonic Disk (sensor).

If your product has not been used for a while, this piece was most likely damaged if it wasn't properly cleaned before storing. Cleaning well sometimes isn't even enough for this sensitive unit.
Unfortunately, there is no way to get this part, even though it is easily removed and could be easily replaced. Bad PR on the manufacturer's part. Your only solution is to send it for repair (if under warranty, you just pay shipping, if not, you pay shipping and $30) or to buy a different brand. You would think for as expensive as these machines are, the manufacturer would have a better solution to this extremely common problem.

Germ guardian h3000 not blowing air

I have a Vicks, similar, and it recomends a little table salt in the water to create a mist, read your manual and see if this helps. Don't go overboard on the salt, or you'll have old faithful instead of a mist!

Crust of sediment in hot water pot

Hi, Go to your grocery store and buy some cream of tartar which you can find in the spice section, it is a white water soluble powder. Dissolve about a teaspoon full in a pot of your coffee water, put in a filter with nothing in it and cycle the water through the coffee maker, if it is really scaled up do this a couple of times, discard the filters which probably will have some little white and yellow chunks in it and this should clean up the inside, you may have to soak the pot in the warm water with a little stronger solution. Good Luck!

Humidifier mist won't come out of tube

sounds like the small fan that is located in the base isn`t pushing the mist out. unplug it then take all the screws out of the base. there are screws under the black foam stands too. be careful not to touch anything that looks like live wires while you look inside then look inside while it is pluged in. it should turn. check for something blocking it like lint or dirt..you may be able to clean around the shaft with w d 40
