My HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m prints out of line by 2mm which means I have to make adjustments to templates etc to print on specialist paper. i.e. where a left margin and right margins are set to 1.5cm I have to set left to 1.7 and right to 1.3 in order to fully centre the text or table on the page.

This printer does not have full bleed aka zero margine printing capabilities. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

How to clean and align HP B209a printer

Every time I had this problem it was the printer head. Try removing the cartridges, then the printer head. Be sure the head is seated firmly. Try printing again. The printer head expires long before it's suppose to so don't be surprised if this is the problem.

How do i change the ssid on my photosmart plus b209a-m printer

Step 1: Click on Windows icon (bottom left hand screen)
Step 2: Select Devices and Printers
Step 3: Right Click on "HP Photosmart Printer Plus B209a-m"

Step 4: Select "Printing Preferences"
Step 5: Click on Tab "Features"
Step 6: Select "Printer Services" in the bottom right hand corner
Step 7: Click on tab "Network Settings"
What you click on there depends on what's wrong with your setup, I think. Mine had a "Configure Wireless" option where I was stepped through the process.

Good Luck!

I have a photosmart B209a printer that produces small lines on my pictures. I replaced the ink thinking it might be that easy, but no dice. Any ideas for cause and cure

I had a similar problem initially and the fault was with the photographic paper. The lines were very regular, just over 1cm apart. Once I switched to HP Advanced paper it cured it.

Can't print envelopes made by "Greeting Card Factory" v7 on an HP B209a-m. Cards (.fgc file) print OK but envelopes (.fev files) won't print (envelope won't go into the print area; spoolvs.exe take 99% of...

The problem centered around the fact that the HP209 would only print 8.5X11 sheets from Greeting Card Factory. Any other size seized up the pring spool.

We're going to return the HP (We think it's defective) and get an Epson.

Mismatch paper size error

Click on Print, then Properties, then features.
About half way down there is a drop down box under sizing options.
Click on custom
Create a name, and put your width and height in.
Click Save and then OK
Completely X out of the print options.
Then Click
File, print
on the bottom of that screen there should be a scale to paper size drop down box. Scroll to the bottom and your saved name and dimensions should be there.

You will have to setup each individual sized template ones and then just scale to fit each time. Hope this helps
