You could try drying the laptop keyboard using a hair dryer or use a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure there is no MOISTURE in the airlines make sure you have the battery disconnected when you dry it out and clean the terminals before you plug it back in
(dont get it to hot if you use a hair dryer do it a few times and let it cool down before drying it again)

Acer asprie one D255E key boad problems. some keys work when others don't and in restore mode other keys work that previously wouldn't help plez have an 11 year old daughter needing to do homework!!

maybe its just the "keyboad" layout you selected is wrong.
plez take it to a local shop they will fix it cheep

Let it dry for 2 days, DO NOT charge it, maybe it will turn on of the components get completely dry. If not take it to a service center there's not much to do.

Juice spilled on dell laptop,the problem is when i press certain keys 3 or 4 letters apear,it is the same with a new keyboard

If that happens with a new keyboard then the mother board is faulty and a replacement laptop is on the horizon. What happens with an external (USB) keyboard?

How do you turn the touchpad on or off. My daughter has somehow managed to turn it off

on start up access Bios and turn on the keyboard in the bios settings, then hen windows starts see if it recognizes the keyboard also try accessing the control panel on windows and double click on keyboard settings. then check if it a wireless keyboad it may need new batteries.

mmmm u must use a cool hair dryer not a hot one then supply the air for the keyboard in proper manner that confirm the water to be removed and apply it for more than 15 min then try it if it doesn't work then follow this link to dissassemble the keyboad then remove the water using cool hair dryer not hot one and apply it for more than 15 min

Spilled water on it, now it wont turn on

Removed battery first. You should disassemble it to clean and wipe it dry. From bottom to top. Under its keyboard. Don't power it on until you are sure no water remains.

Water Spill on Dell E1505

Let it dry out for a few days in the Most moisture Free Place he can find. Two may be Three days to be safe, Then is should have dried out enough to work again, There pretty durable with spills, If its a newer E1505 It should have a spill protector under the keyboard. I think he should'nt have any trouble with it, If he just waits a few days everything should be fine
