I have an LG RH1999H DVD recorder, and want to know who do I record to a DVD using the recorder. I have saved the information onto the RH1999H but do not know how to record this to the DVD. Thanks.

make sure the disk is finalised after recording, if this does not help then the bit-rate it uses for xp may not be compatable with other dvd players, in which case stick to sp,lp or dual-layer sp is best if ou can.
The generic answer is yes you can. You will need to use a software app like Pinnacle Studio V10.5 onwards (currently V14) or similar II think that Roxio have a product too) that will take raw video format from the DVD Player / recorder and convert it to MPEG2 files that you can then convert to any other format. You can then edit them and put them back tot he DVD Player / Recorder in the correct format for viewing on TV. This will also allow you to burn customised discs with TV content etc.
1. Go to http://hk.lge.com/support/support_lgeservice.jsp 2. Go to "Product Support" 3. On the left panel, find "Device Driver", then "DVD Player/Recorder". 4. Download the "RH3xx.iso" from the linked page. 5. Burnt ISO to a CD (must be burnt as an image, use free software such as ImgBurn http://www.imgburn.com/) 6. Load CD onto the LG player 7. You will be prompted to choose a new region code - go with 0 for region-free
Generally this means that there is either an internal issue going on, or that the laser has become dirty or has defected. Try bying a simple DVD cleaner disk and running that through a few times. If that does not work the product may be defective -- in which case I hope that you still have a warranty -- and if you do return the product promptly for a new one.
I just got a RH387H in Hong Kong, region 3, but the above method doesn't work, this model has slightly different icon, no "lock" icon, I tried in other similar location but no effect, hopefully someone will provide a method.
