This is a bad fan motor (click here like a sample replacement) inside the back wall of the freezer, you will
need to replace it with part number that could look it accroding with your model. You can order the parts
you need from the following places:
So, according with your comments, if your device has few months, before to take off some part, I suggest contact your dealer or technical service keeping under warranty service.
Hope this helps.
That is where the error codes come up on an LG unit (quote), the computer is not seeing feedback from the fan, which has been a major problem since this unit has come out on the market, usually you can unplug the unit for 5 minutes and plug it back in, the error code may not come back for days, weeks or months, but it always comes back to the fan motor...
I gave you the wrong part number this is the ice maker fan motor, sorry about that, the error is IF not 1F If it was the freezer fan the FF would come up, the correct part number is XXXXX (check sample here).
Your welcome, thank you for using Fixya.

Yes, just got off phone with Sears repair. Part will be replaced under warranty this Friday. (They are 'bending over backwards' to fix this 'new' fridge since I am a Sears Reward customer). Their technical dept. knew all about that specific code and should R+R the ice maker fan motor with no problem. Thanks! Regards, Mark.
