I am trying to raise 0.92 to the power of 10, I cannot find the button anywhere on my Texas Instruments TI-30XA calculator. There is no y^x button on my calculator, please help.
If you can't find the y^x just under the off button you may not have a TI-30XA calculator. If you still need help with this calculator please check the model number and let me know what it is and I'll try to help.If you can't find the y^x just under the off button you may not have a TI-30XA calculator. It should not, unless you entered it the wrong way. Use the key marked [^] or [X^y] or [Y^x]. It is none of my business but I think you are trying to type in Avogadro's number. If that is the case then you should use the [EE] key to enter the power of 10. Type 6.022 [EE]23 (Notice that there is no 10 to enter; the EE key is a shortcut for [*10^ ] .)
Because this calculator does not allow you to enter formulas, you have to alter the formula a bit.
Instead of entering 3.55*10^24, enter (10^24)*3.55
Note: 10^24 is 10 to the 24.
Here is the procedure: 1) find 10^24. Do this by typing 10, pressing the yx button (which is right above the divide button), and then typing 24. Press the '=' button.
2) multiple the result by 3.55. Press the '=' button.
