This calculator is incapable of displaying simplified fractions (i.e. 1 ½), you will have to use the decimal value or contain your complex fraction in parenthesis. (i.e. (5/2).)

Unfortunately this calculator does not have built in support to convert from decimal to fractions.
If you are trying to complete fraction calculations without converting the answer back to a fraction format you can always use the standard addition, subtraction, multiplication and division functions with the parenthesis to get the desired result.
For example if you are trying to 1/5 and 3 3/4 you would type 1 / 5 + 3 + (3 / 4) =
You should get 3.95 as your answer.

The TI BA-II does not have "Fraction Key". In order to use fractions you must use the parenthesis to surround the denominator and numerator. For instance, if you wanted to use 3/4, you would enter:
(3/4)

How do you enter mixed fractions?

Look for the key that has the template of a fraction : A solid white rectangle, a fraction bar an an empty rectangle. That key should be between the CALC key and the change sign key (-).
If you press SHIFT followed by the fraction template key the calculator displays the template of a mixed fraction. In the rectangles type in the integer part, the numerator and the denominator. Use the arrow keys to move from one rectangle to the next.

Is it possible to enter fractions in my new casio fx9750gii. ive tried the shift f-d key but it doesn't want to play

The F-D key converts from fraction to decimal and vice versa. The key to the left of the F-F key, and which is marked a b/c is the one used to enter fractions. The SHIFT F-D sequence toggles between improper fraction and mixed number. The OS of this calculator does not allow the displaying of stacked fractions.

Can you do any ratio on the cauculator

Most of the time a ratio is nothing but the division of two quantities. If you have a fraction key, enter one term of the ratio as numerator, and the second term as denominator. If you do not have a fraction key just use the division key.
According to the name Fraction Mate, you calculator can do fractions. Enter your ratios as you would fractions.

How to claculate the remainder of a fraction using CASIO fx-991ES?

Use the fraction conversion features of the calculator.
Near (above) the [S<>D] key that toggles display between fraction/radicals and decimals, there is a marking that reads [a b/c <=>d/c]. Accessed through the [SHIFT] key, this key converts from improper fractions [a b/c] to improper fractions [d/c].
Enter your fraction with the fraction key (the one below the CALC key) and press enter. If the numerator is less then the denominator (proper fraction) the remainder is just the numerator. If the numerator is greater than the denominator the display will show an improper fraction (d/c) or a mixed number [a b/c]. Here a is the integer part and b/c is the fraction part.
So, if you have [a b/c] type display the remainder is b.
If the result is displayed as an improper fraction, use [SHIFT][S<>D] to convert the improper fraction (d/c) to a b/c.

How to convert a fraction into a decimal

First put the calculator in degree mode.
To convert from fraction to a decimal number first enter your fraction or, mixed number. I'll convert a mixed number to a fraction first since, I don't have a key for the symbol that shows that a number is a fraction on my keyboard. Example: [3][A b/c][1][A b/c][2][A b/cd/e][ENTER]
3/2 should be entered at the home screen. While at the Home screen enter, [2nd][FD][ENTER]
1.5 should now be displayed at the Home screen.
As you can see it is really just using the [A b/c] key to enter in your fraction and, [FD] key to do the converting. The [A_b/cd/e] key isn't necessary because, mixed numbers will convert to decimal numbers just like fractions do. I just don't have the key to show a fraction symbol that the calculator uses. So to show that symbol, I used the / symbol with the fraction number.

How do i do fractions with this calculator? there are so many keys i dont know what to push.

The primary key to enter something that resembles a fraction is the division key, the one above the multiplication key.
However, any division you enter yields a decimal number, unless the result is an integer.

To keep the result of a division as a (reduced) fraction use the [|=>Frac] or [ToFrac] command. It is accessible by the following key sequence
[MATH][1:ToFrac].
Insert it after the fraction, before pressing the [ENTER] key to get the result.

By pressing [MATH][2:ToDec] you convert a fraction in to a decimal number.

I have to learn how to operate a texas instrument TI-83 to do math (fraction)

This calculator, although very sophisticated, is rather unfit for heavy fraction calculations. There is no dedicated fraction key, but you can use the [MATH] menu to access a ToFraction command: symbolized by a fat arrow and Frac.
I am enclosing a few screen captures to help you figure out how to use your calculator to manipulate fractions. To get the first screen you press the [MATH] key (below the [ALPHA] key. The ToFraction command is the first one in the list. The second item allows you to convert a fraction to a decimal number.

In the following screen I show you how to enter a fraction (division key) and keep it in fraction form, albeit reduced. Fractions are reduced to their simplest terms
1c6579c.jpg
In the last screen, I show you how to convert a fraction to a decimal number by making use of the ToDecimal command (last command line on the left, result is one line down and to the right.)

How do you change decimals to fractions on a casio

If you enter an improper fraction or a mixed fraction with the the [a b/c] key it will be displayed as a fraction. This result being displayed you can press the [F-D] key to convert the fraction to decimal. If you do nothing else and you press the [F-D] key again, the original fraction will be restored.

However, it seems that you cannot enter an arbitrary decimal number and convert it to a fraction. The [F-D] key seems to work one way : from a fraction to a decimal number. You will only recover a fraction if the original number was a fraction.
