You can try to look in the Catalog of commands : Press [2nd][0] to open the (CATALOG) , but you will not find it. The symbol just does not exist. There is compound symbol in the Finance applications (TVM) it is called tvm_I% but you cannot isolate the percent sign from the other symbols.

Against my better judgment that whispered to me not to answer this question I had to tell you the truth, even if it gets you mad at me. Sorry.

I have a casio se-c3500 and I am having trouble programming in the premium key as I can only do the discount one. Any help is appreciated.

I haven't worked on that model but usually you want a percent plus key, not a percent minus. You either add in a percent plus key to the keyboard, or you change the sign to plus in the settings. Check your manual for any info it has on the percent plus function.

To convert a percent to a number divide the %-value by 100 and remove the %-sign. Or move the decimal mark two places to the left and remove the % symbol.

How do u get % on it

On calculators you do not usually get percents. Instead, you get values which can be converted to a percent. For example what percent is 245 out of 987. You divide 245/987=.248. This is essentially the same as saying 24.8 percent. You move the decimal over 2 values. You can also round to get a nice percent number such as 25 percent.
If you are trying to put in a percent lets say you have to find 47% of 80. You just multiply .47 * 80= 38.4

Calculating Percent savings

Since I don't use the percent sign. Here is instead a MUCH easier way. Divide the price you bought it for (289) by the original price (648). This gives you the percentage that 289 is with respect to 648 if you just read off the first two decimal places. When you divide one number by another it will tell you how many times they 'fit' for the purpose of explaining it. That is also essentially what a percentage is out of 100 parts. so when you divide one number by another, you will get a decimal answer, just multiply it by 100 (or just take the first two decimals) and that is percent saved (percent different). Note that if the first value is LARGER than the second, you will have a percentage of over 100%.

Hoe do i add on a 15% sir charge?

Hi. It depends upon the model, but you may have a %+ key. If so, type 15 then press the percent key. if it takes 15 percent off (discount), then you will need to change the sign of the percent key to a surcharge.

Let me know if you need more help (model number please)
