I have 4 TVs using 2 receivers. TV 1 and 2 use receiver VIP722K. TV 3 and 4 used receiver 322G. I bought a new Vizio tv to replace TV 4. (Note: TV 2 is also a Vizio) I tried to set up the new Vizio and the remote using the programming codes availalble. The remote reacted like it was coded properly. However, it somehow has coded to TV 2 instead of TV 4. When I turn on the new Vizio, the screen says to press SELECT on the remote to continue. But when I press SELECT, nothing happens, like it is not responding to the satellite. I can take that same remote into the room for TV 2 and it all works. How do I get the remote for TV 4 to respond and use receiver 322G?

Hi, Cheri Torres with DISH Network Customer Service here. Icame across your question and wanted to see if I could help. It sounds like youmay need to either readdress your TV4 remote to your 322 DISH receiver or youcould possibly have receivers for TV2 and TV4 mixed up. Since your TV4 has "Pressselect to watch TV" on the screen you can check both of your receivers andwhich ever receiver has the TV2 blue light off is the receiver this TV runs offof. If this is not the case and you are positive that the TV4 does run off the322 you will want to take the remote to the receiver box location in order toreaddress it. I will list here for you the instructions for readdressing theremote to the receiver box. I hope you find all this information useful and ifyou have any other questions or this does not fix the issue you are experiencingfeel free to email me at [email protected]. Thanks and have a greatday!
Instructions for readdressing your remote to your DISH receiver

  1. Go to System Info screen. You can do this by pressing the power button once then the channel up button once on the front of the receiver box.
  2. Once you are in the system info screen you will see primary remote address and secondary remote address.
  3. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
  4. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.Change the number to something different then what is already listed in the little white square for secondary remote address.
  5. Press the pound (#) button
  6. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record. Note: If successful the number selected in step 4 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.

Testimonial: "Thank you Cheri Torres. I have been working on this since 4:00 yesterday afternoon. It tool less than an hour to get a real answer. Nice site."

Can I use a dish 500 dish with a VIP722K receiver Ilive In eastern Pa.

If you have a clear view of the south western sky, the receiver will receive most channels (after running a check switch test, menu, 6-1-1). You will not receive most HD (which comes on Eastern Arc satelllites not on that antenna, or on satellite 129, not on that antenna) and depending on your DMA you may not get locals, but most cable channels will be available, at least in Standard Definition.

How do you hook this TV up to a standard Dish network system. We are trying to hook it up and it says no signal.

Hello there! My name is Becki, and I am with DISH Network. I do hope that this has been resolved for you! But if not, here are some steps that you can try. I hope this helps!

You will first want to put your TV on channel 3.
You can use RCA (red/white/yellow) cables to hook up the receiver to the TV.
If you are using a receiver that works 2 rooms, on the back of the receiver, the location for the RCA cables will have a green TV symbol with a 1 on it. That is where you want to connect these cables. Run these then to your TV. Some TVs will give you an input number next to these connections, such as Video 1 or 2.
After these are connected, try to cycle the inputs on your TV. You can do this with the buttons on the side of the TV, or with the remote. Go slow, becuase it can take a few seconds for the input to actually change. If this does not work, try to go to channel 4 and repeat the steps.

You could also use coax cable to connect from your receiver to the TV. The connection on the back of the receiver will simply say channel 3/4. And that is just what you do, put the TV on channel 3 or 4.

If these steps do not work, or you need some clarification, please let me know!

Our new vizio tv is hooked up just like our old tv, (satellite provider being dish network) and it says no signal with a blue screen

Hello. This is usually an easy issue to fix. To get the DISH Network back on the screen, i have included a few steps:

If you are at TV1, where the receiver box is located, the tv needs to be on channel 3 or 4. Depending on the cable that is running between the receiver and the tv, the tv may need to be on an input, such as video 1 or 2. If you are at the TV2 location, where there is no receiver, then the tv needs to be on channel 60 or 73.

If you are using an HDMI cable, then the TV will need to be on an HDMI input
If you are using Component cables, your TV will need to be on a component input. (Usually Comp 1 or 2)
If you are using RCA cables, then the TV will need to be on a VIDEO input (Usually Video 1 or 2)
If you are using COAX cables, then the tv needs to be on channel 3 or 4 (If you are at TV2, then the TV needs to be on channel 60 or 73)

Dish vip 622 and vip 722k frequent picture freeze and restart

Sounds like a signal strength issue. You may have either a low signal or something like a tree limb is blowing into the signal path dropping the signal strength to a point low enough to causes issues.

Vizio 42" LCD. Flat screen. Won't display CC on setup screen using HDMI input. Have a Sharp tv on another Directv box and it shows CC via HDMI connection. Problem with receiver or with TV? Costco's "Help"...

CC is a feature of the TV. All TVs are different in features and the Vizio is limited on its features due to cost. To eliminate the directv receiver connected to Vizio TV just swap with the receiver connected to Sharp TV and see if CC is displayed.
