Hi, You need to go into menu and check you tray and paper configuration, for instance if you have letter paper in tray 1, go into menu and scroll to paper tray 1 and make sure it says letter paper 81/2 x11, then do the same for tray 2. Even though the machine has the required size paper and set to auto, you have to go into menu and tell the machine what kind of papers are in the trays, the machine don`t do this automaticaly. The most common place for these to squeak is the fuser, usually a bushing that holds the lower (pressure) roller has failed and the shaft is grinding against the frame of the fuser. Grinding will usually occur shortly after. You need to remove the fuser and examine where the lower roller's shaft comes out to the gear for bushing wear. Then you can replace the fuser with a rebuilt, or replace the right and left bushings if you want to tear down the fuser. Another squeak can come from a toner having bad bushings allowing the drum to rub the plastic housing of the toner. Yet another could be the bushings holding the final roller shaft for the exit bin, requires removal of the top,

There are many sensors that are throughout the machine. Try checking all of the flags and see if they are stuck or loose. If you can locate one that is either try to reseat. If not you could have a bad sensor and needs to be replaced. A certified technician can help with that.

Hp m712dn Portrait to Landscape.

What OS and application are you using? Have you installed the full product software and drivers? Get the drivers here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-laserjet-enterprise-700-printer-m712-series/5118060/model/5118226 . If you only installed the basic driver, full functionality may not be available.

For supported Windows OS versions, in the application with the file to print, select File > Print. Ensure that the destination printer is the HP Laserjet Enterprise M712d. Then click the Properties button. Go to the Finishing tab and look for the Orientation section on the right hand side of the window. Click the desired orientation and click the Apply button. Then press OK and print the document. Remember to reset this for regular Portrait printing. (The manual does not include the press Apply but I've never had that work.) See page 75-76 of the user manual (pages 85-86 of the PDF).

For Mac OS X, from the application with the file to print, choose File > Print. Select this printer in the printer menu. In the Copies & Pages menu, press Page Setup. Click the icon for the correct printing orientation. If there is an Apply button, press it. Press OK. (Note: again remember to switch back to Portrait printing when it's needed.) This is shown on page 88 of the manual (page 98 of the PDF).

The manual is available here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-laserjet-enterprise-700-printer-m712-series/5118060/manuals . The current link to the manual is http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03244831.pdf .

I hope this helps. If the issue persists, check the application and the margin setup for the document.

HP Support says “If the Ready light is blinking, and the Go light is on, it indicates Data in the printer memory is waiting to be printed. Pressing the GO button prints from Tray 1 or from another tray if Tray 1 is empty and the paper size is supported in the other Tray. Pressing the JOB CANCEL button cancels the current job and the printer returns to ready.
Make sure the paper size is correctly defined.

My printer hp laserjet p3005dn will not let me print from tray 2 every time i try and print it goes to try 1

You may not have configured the HP for two trays.
Open Printers and Faxes - right click on the HP printer and click on Properties - click Device Settings tab - Installable Options, in Number of Input Trays enter "2" then click OK.
When you print you will be able to select the tray1 or 2 to print.

HP Laserjet P1008 not Printing

What you need to do is go to the printersmenu in the control panel and then see which printer is set as the default printer. If the selection is correct, see if any documents are pending in the print queue or not.If it still does not solve your concern then your printer has taken up an IP address that is no more recognized by your computer. So you need to change the port to which the computer is printing. If you want further support you can avail free technical support on http://tinyurl.com/m7ghqz.
