LG RT-42PX10 I have the LG Plasma model: RT-42PX10 4 years now, all worked perfect till recently I connected the DVI cable from my Mac to watch a movie (cable supplied by LG when bought the TV). I think almost immediately a Vertical black line, thicker than an inch, appeared on the third right (when u look in front). after disconnecting my PowerBook laptop line is still there (Mac is perfectly ok) Summary: Black line appears from time to time with no special timing or reason in Component or AV mode Only way to remove it is playing randomly with the tuner (that I don't care about it as  have cable tv) so once you are lucky... boom line s gone but could be for 5 sec or 5 mnt longest is about 30 mnts. Any ideas, is it the tuner board or....

I too have the LG RT 42PX10 plasma. Have had it 4 years without any issues. Recently the picture has become blurred and distorted. Sometimes it goes away, like when watching sport but then it's back for the most part. My wife has just called to say she was watching it today and a bang noise came from the back of it. It still works, but the picture is no 'greyed out'. Is it totalled?

I also have the same problem with my LG plasma. That is a black band about 25mm wide running down the full height of the screen. Has there been a fix posted yet, if so is it possable to have it sent to me. Barry

I want to watch TV through my Apple Mac computer.

you will need a DVI cable i believe. if your tv has HDMI, then you will need a DVI to HDMI cable. you may also need a converter sold by Apple to connect the tv.

LG 42INCH PLASMA TV BLANK SCREEN

Open the back cover and check the fuses on Y Sus Board and X Sus Board. If you can find a blown fuse, just replace that board and your problem will be fixed.
