Hoover 700l Cold water is not fillingproperly. Only a verey small dribble comes into the machine. I have reversed the hot and cold hoses, making sure that the setting is on "hot". Problem solved for the first fill, then on rinse cycle back to a dribble.

Clogged screen in fill valve on cold side. Remove hose from cold side on valve. Pull screen out. Wash under hot water, and re-install.

My washing machine model mw512 will not fill properly on the cold cycle - it just dribbles. I have checked the hose which is fine and the hot works ok also.

this is a sign that the hot/cold mix valve is bad and not opening properly.
the valve is the small plastic part that both hoses go into on the back of the machine,, if you remove the two hoses and the back panel from the machine - the valve is held in place by one little screw. there are four wires that connect to the valve -- make sure you label the hot water wires and the cold water wires. your local appliance repair shop will have this part on hand and they will sell it to you for around 25 dollars.

My washer will not fill with water or do any functions when i turn the dial

My Hoover 7700l ...on "fill" cycle, the water dribbles in. Takes hours to fill so we use buckets to reach the required level.

Tried: Swapping cold and hot water inlet hoses, making sure that dial is in "hot". This solved the problem for filling, BUT when "rinse cycle appoars, it's back to the dribble again.

any ideas?

Hi the cold water just dribbles into the tub. if I

is the cold water all the way on?

if so, the first thing to do would be to check the screens in the cold water fill hose and the screen in the cold side of the water valve on the back of the machine. if that is not the problem then replace the water valve.

(turn the water off before taking the hose loose)

My washing machine dribbles water hot or cold when cycle starts and it takes almost and hour to fill...why?

turn the water valves then disconect the water hoses at the end of the nipple where the hose screws
in there is a small screen (looks like the same screen on windows just shaped to fit in the pipe)
check it for contaminates then put back together in reverse
hope this helps you

Hot water in washer comes out fine. Cold water is very slow coming out. It dribbles and takes forever to fill.

Clean inlet screen where hose attaches to machine. Water from water heater is generally "cleaner" as sediments have had a chance to settle out in the water heater. Cold water carries more stuff directly to the valve screen. Check also for kinked hose.

Hoover 750L top loader washing machine

I had this problem. I alternated the hot and cold water valves (changing over the wiring) and then hot tap then dribbled instead of the cold. Replacement part i believe is around $35AU

Problem with Hoover 200M

Hi All
The solution is a faulty solenoid valve, either the hot or cold valve depending what temperature you are using.
Replacing the valve is easy turnoff machine unscrew hose, remove 3 srcews to lift control cover, slide out locking tab, unclip wires the replace valve which cost about 30-$40
