Hi, sometimes if multiple buttons on a remote are pressed at the same time, the remote will try and send both codes and the unit it is designed to control won't respond because it doesn't recognize the signal. the remote i had was rev 6 control and i tried every number going but no luck.
i then ordered new remote control which is rev 8(you can find this when you open the battery lid)
and i typed in 0206 and it worked(bingo).

With you sky remote follow the steps below:
TV
RED + SELECT ( flashes twice )
TV
0051
now try the volume button. If this works then press SELECT to save. If not press TV and then volume again. Repeat this step until the volume works then dont forget to press the SELECT button to store the code.
