We have Viper 5301. Has worked fine. Someone used our car and when it was returned the viper doesn't work. When we press unlock, lock or start the top led flashes two or three times (orange) then there is a pause of a few seconds then (1)the top led flashes orange while(2) the red led by the function button stays on and(3) the viper buzzes for a few seconds. The last three happen at once. What is going on what can I do? Thanks

Yes.
Press and hold Function (f) for 12 seconds.
Press and hold Lock for 2 seconds
(The keypad will light up)
If the green light by the lock button shows keypad lock on/off (no light).
Press lock- green light comes on.
Press and hold f for 2 seconds
Command entered
Press and hold f or wait 30 seconds for it to time out and the amber light turn off.

hi did you get this unit from ebay? i am going through the same experience right now and there is a problem with the early units that were manufactured. It will need to be replaced. I am currently trying to get a refund.
