I have Lumix dmc tz5. It is not recognizing the card. When I turn it on it says taking pictures with internal. I have reformatted card etc. still won't work properly.

With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the directions to erase the internal memory. After that, your card should work properly.

Internal to external memory switch

I'm not familiar with your camera but, most cameras automatically write to the card when it's inserted in the camera. If yours doesn't, try this...remove the memory card...go into the menu and scroll to "format"...follow the on-screen instructions. By clearing the internal memory, your card should work properly.

Help!

I'm sorry that the camera is loosing the charge soon and flashing randomly. Please make sure that the battery is fully charged. Check if you are able to access the Menu. If yes, then, please Initialize the camera under settings 1 Menu. If you are not able to access the menu, you may have to power reset the camera by removing the battery and press n hold the power button for 1 minute continuously. After that leave the button and insert the battery and check if it helps. If the issue still persists, your camera will require service.

Sony cybershot DSC W30 buttons fail

take the battery out and let the camera sit for an hour or two, take out the memory card, try to view photos on computer, if it does not work, you will have to format the card and start over. Some times when the format on the card is bad, the camera will not work properly. I have two cybershots myself.

Camera not working

Just select the camera icon in the menu.
But i don't think that it will open the primary camera. You need a working slid to use the camera properly. You will have to buy a new housing.

CAMERA NOT WORKING

Cameras belonging to the S Series really do have a battery type option that needs to be set up first for proper power connection.

Recommended batteries are just:
- Alkaline (Non-rechargeable)
- Nickel-metal Hydride (Rechargeable)

Just the proper battery type by:

- Pressing MENU/OK button
- Scroll to the right until you are in SETUP 2
- Keep on scrolling down and look for battery type
- Press the right button to pick up on 2 options
like Alkaline and Ni-MH
- Press MENU/OK for changes to be saved
- Keep pressing MENU/OK to get out of the MENU

Once, it's done, camera needs to be turned off for a few seconds
so that settings made will be refreshed with the camera.

As you turn camera on, you're now ready to take many pictures.

ALKALINE (Non-rechargeable) batteries when set to the correct battery type will really take a maximum of 100 pictures.

For the Rechargeable batteries1.gif (Ni-MH), when those are fully charged, and the battery type is set to Ni-MH, it will be taking more than a hundred of course.

I hope this help you a lot.

It really doesn't matter if you'll be using 2500mAh. So long as those are the recommended batteries, those will work.
